Good luck to you sir.
If it makes you feel any better, I rode around 200 miles last weekend, and it was cold snowy and overcast. At least it was windy as hell! ![]() Bullshit is welcome here. Quote:

This will be a dirt road ride without any trail so everyone can enjoy the outing. Since I hit a deer last October @ dust in a Game Lands, I will end my ride before dark. That event opened my old eyes when it comes to dirt roads, deer, and dark skies.
Also Wed. was only a suggestion and Thur. evenings work fine with me as well. |

Hey Jax
I thought this would be the perfect sport for MSF in the winter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPXEN...layer_embedded

Gives me the chills. SoPaRider's story (a story of a survivor) is the worst deer/bike story I ever heard. Quote:

Yesterday I stopped @ the Caledonia Power Sports and we talked about having a weekly Adventure Ride leaving from the shop. I feel this will be a good starting point for our week night rides. The shop is located on US route 30 between Newman and Piney Mnt. Roads.

Weather was great today. The roads in Michaux started out clear and mostly dry. As I road higher up South Mountain I started to hit some snow.
![]() No problem. Plenty of space in the tire tracks. The snow along the tracks was several inches deep. The higher I climbed the deeper the snow got and the narrower the tire track became. Soon enough the tire tracks were filled with slick snow and ice. And then the traction ran out. One wheel drive has its limitations. It may not look it in the pic, but that is a fairly steep stretch. ![]() So I bravely turned around and returned to the clearer roads lower down the mountain. Despite the poor footing today it was a gorgeous day for a ride

I was out yesterday with a friend, we were in Jeep and a Hummer. I think I saw PAEbr out there on ridge road or a bike like yours. When we were over in the Tuscarora we had two BMW's in front of us. Every time I passed a bike I would wonder what their ADV name was.

I'm looking forward to my return from Florida and riding the blacktop in and around Michaux. The Burgman 650 doesn't like dirt or gravel.

We need to put together some sort of contact list for local riding. I can't live more than 10 miles from you.
