Cave City was dry a couple of years ago. I know they had a vote last year but dont know if they went wet. I know Mammoth Cave was thinking about selling alcohol in their store (since they are a National Park, they dont have to go by the county), they were staying dry as a courtesy to the county, but dont know if they started selling at the park yet, be cheaper to pack in anyways than buying at a national park.

I don't know that I'll be taking it to the hole since I won't have much of a chance to go over it by then. Its a 76 with 16k... I saw it today with a for sale sign hanging on it and the PO took the offer. Dropped it off immediately for some new tires because the others were so dry rotted I was afraid to go over 10 mph. Fired up as soon as I pushed the go button though. Now I'm waiting for Mark to post up a vintage buy....

those are great bikes, it looks to be in very good condition. i am shocked to see the factory air box and pipes still intact and those pipes are prolly worth what you paid for the bike..

Well the baffles have been gutted but yes it appears to be in good shape. I literally looked it over, cranked it up, rode it to about 10 MPH then dropped it off for tires. It has a few smaaaaall leaks and a torn seat cover... I already got a new seat cover today and when I get it back this week I'm going to start rehabbing it to get the leaks stopped and see if I can find anything else wrong. Its possible that it may make the hole but I'm not making any promises to the vintage crowd. I do have a secret weapon that may be up for sale soon. A friend is supposed to be buying it but who knows... maybe you'll see a sweet time capsule like shag green 72 CL350 Scrambler.

If you're around on Wednesday Louisville Vintage Motorworks has a meetup at the Monkey Wrench. Never been but if it's warmish I'm going to try this week.

Second Sundays they meet at Nachbar down in Germantown. Not sure how active a group it is since most of their info is on Facebook and I don't belong.

David (Davidc83), Josh (FYYFFKY) and I did 300+ miles today on the last shake down ride for the Icebreaker. Stopped by the Cabin's to see if Ralph has his cork pulled and ready. Never found him. I'll ring him up tomorrow...

For you thrill seekers, looks like there are 2 ziplines in the area...

Found a road that I thought was paved was actually freshly graded rock. Well, won't take the streeters that way...

We lucked out and were the first customers for the lunch buffet at the Porky Pig Diner. We all ate too much and just wanted to sit a long while after.

Here's owner Calvin and son (I think).. There's also the Sunday breakfast buffet that many enjoyed last year. I really suggest you make a RTE visit there if you don't stop this time. David was telling us about Ramona's pies! I might have to visit for dinner Saturday night.

Great chow!

Great day to scout. We're going to spec the tracks and get them posted this week.

Thanks
