I recognize that neither of these has any real inherent or intrinsic (huh?) value... if anybody wants or needs them, let me know and I can sell real cheap plus postage....

GS clock harness plug

Hey,

Looking for a GS digital clock (riser mounted) plug...the business end that plugs into the harness. I think it's male, not sure. Got the clock and someone cut the terminal end off at the harness...so no plug at the end, just bare wire.

There are probably a few other electrical items that used this 3 prong end on the bike.

Any leads on this piece would be appreciated.

I have some German 3 pin plastic connectors. Do you have the other side?

Thumb FS Luftmeister Brake Line

Brake line is 85 cm/33.5" Long

Genuine Luftmeister! So you know it's Good!

It works on this application:

Goes directly from the Handlebar MC on RT Bars to the Right Brake Caliper.

This was used on my '92 RT.

This bypasses the Splitter at the steering head.

There is a pinch mark show in the PIX, otherwise is in pretty good Condition.

It is Braided steel with a Black Plastic Cover. Teflon lined.

Just took off the bike 5 mins ago.

$25 Shipped CONUS

Luftmeister has been out of business for years which says that is a very old brake line. Don't ya think it should be tosted?

What part of a stainless steel brake line do you figure is most averse to age.

I bought two sets of /5 wheel wheel bearing shims from Duane Ausherman for $20 shipped. I ended up not using them. My local Airhead tech had extra wedding band spacers in the correct size.

If anyone wants these shims, I'll ship them out to you for $18/both or $10/each if you just want one. It should be enough to properly set the bearing preload for at least two sets of wheel, and maybe many more depending on how many you end up needing to use.

It is still a rubber/plastic/nylon line inside that has had brake fluid in it and now exposed to the elements.

At least when the OEM rubber line collapses you can usually see the evidence of what's going on. With a SS line if there is collapse there is no sign of what the trouble is. They can still collapse.

EDIT: BIKE SOLD
My friend is selling his RS. I am helping spread the word. Below is copy of his ad. If any interest, PM me, I will put you in touch. Pics soon.

FOR SALE: 1988 BMW R100RS Riders bike. Pearl White w/blue pin striping. 100k. all stock and original except for suspension upgrade to Progressive fork springs and rear shock. 4-way flashers. Heated hand grips. Michelin Macadam 50 tires with a lot left. BMW acid/lead battery 2 yrs. old. Rings and valves redone at 60k. Serviced exclusively, since 1996, by the well known and respected BMW wrench, Tom Pfeiffer of Motorcycle Works Ltd., Brooklyn NY. Service records available back to '98. Original service manual and warranty book included. Complete tool kit in original pouch. Integral touring cases with Kathy's liners.
Extras include: EZ touring travel cover. BMW bulb kit. And lots of spares including clutch cable and spare wind screen. Many bits also.
I am the third owner, I bought this bike in '94 with 23k, I put 77k on this bike myself, including a cross country run in '04. Even though this bike has a lot of miles, I have taken very good care of it, and I always repaired or replaced things right away. It runs better now than it did when I bought it. I never experienced any transmission problems. Only in the last few years I began replacing electronic components, the electrical/charging system is in good working order. While in my care, this beautiful machine has alwas been garaged and kept under cover when not in use.

Considering the overall condition of this bike is excellent, I am asking $6200
