It's on College, in Oakland, just north of Rockridge BART, and south of Claremont. Some heated tables outside, loud hubbub inside. Not the easiest place to fit a dozen people together, but they do have good beer on tap.

Yeah, probably not too good due to access and space. Hard to beat Pacific Coast and Pyramid for those reasons.

Old Faithful then? PacCoast?

Address: 906 Washington St, Oakland, CA 94607
Their current lineup looks yummy too.....

Pacific Coast Gray Whale Ale

Our house pale ale, medium body, amber, well balanced bitterness and sweetness.
  • Bronze medal winner at the 1991 Great American Beer Festival
  • 17 IBU
  • 5.5% ABV

Pacific Coast Killer Whale Stout

Our house dark, rich, roasty, smooth, and hoppy. 1990 Silver Medal winner, 1991 Honorable Mention at the GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL Nitrogen infusion makes this the best Ever .

Pacific Coast Leviathan Imperial Stout

Black as Squid Ink! The Stout of Russian Czars! Brewed to withstand the long trip to Moscow from Great Britain. Black, full bodied and very warming. Silver Medal Winning Intense Ale at the 1992 and 1993 Great American Beer Festival.
  • 10% ABV

Pacific Coast Columbus IPA

This beer is an India Pale Ale! It is the first commercially brewed beer in the country using Columbus hops. It is very hoppy, aromatic and intense. All hopheads will love it! 3rd Place, Silver Medal at the 1995 California State Fair’s first Craft Brewers Competition. Silver Medal IPA at 1995 Great American Beer Festival!
  • 7% ABV
  • 62 IBU

Pacific Coast Cask Columbus IPA

Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA

This hoppy American IPA is a full bodied beer brewed with American pale and crystal malts, and heavily hopped with Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Centennial.
  • 7.0% ABV
  • 75+ IBU

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. This hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day.
  • 15 IBU
  • 4.8% ABV

Lost Coast Great White Ale

A crisp beer with a hint of citrus, made with two row malted barley, unmalted wheat, a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, crystal clear mountain water and ale yeast.
  • 4.8% AVB.

Green Flash Trippel Belgian Style Ale

Rich pale malt flavors provide a solid base for zesty Styrian Golding and Czech Saaz hopping. Trappist ale yeast contributes the fruity, spicy profile of classic, monk-brewed, Belgian ales. This Trippel is luscious, fiery, golden brew and a contemporary rendition of traditional Belgian Trippel.

North Coast Brother Thelonious

Belgian Style Abbey Ale. Like a Belgian “Dark Strong Ale”, the beer is rich and robust and named after the jazz master.
  • ABV of 9.3%
  • 32 IBU

Trumer Pils

Brewed by an Austrian Brewery in Berkeley, CA! This brew pours a bright gold color showing reasonable carbonation. Right from the start the impression is one of smoothness. A smooth mouthfeel, soft on the palate, a very mellow and delicate hop character matched to a pleasant pilsner malt flavor.

Lindeman’s Framboise Lambic

Classic Belgian Lambic Raspberry ale. Unlike American Fruit beers, this beer takes 2 years to make. It is fermented spontaneously and uses real fruit for its flavor. It is quite tart and is almost overpowering in its raspberry flavor.

Stella Artois

Brewed in Belgium, Stella Artois is a pilsner, it is “low fermented” at a low temperature to produce a delicate, hoppy beer, with a fine hop aroma and subtle bitterness. It has an alcohol content of 5.2% vol.

Yeah, LeDakar...you hear that? BART! And there's also this crazy thing that spans the water between Oakland and SF...it's called a bridge. Don't be afraid to use it!

We've got an appointment with our accountant that evening but should be able to make it there in time for the festivities

And good-lawd-a-mighty, Joe!! Glad to see you're OK and still among the living, dude! Seriously... that was scary! I've ridden Eagle Canyon before...way too pretty to be killin' yerself in, that's fer sure...

Public Service Announcement For Kevan Garrett

Dear Kevan Garrett,

The Bay Area Adventure Riders Club Meet and Eat will be held on Thursday March 21st at Pacific Coast Brewing Company. That's not this coming Thursday but the following Thursday. The 21st. That would be nine (9) days from today. Looking forward to seeing you there, Kevan! On Thursday March 21st. Not Thursday March 14th.

Glad I could help

Sincerely,
WoodsChick

PS: March 21st, capisce?

A Bridge? Over the Bay? Just make sure you have enough fuel in the tank, no fun stalling in the middle.

Hey give him credit for the Pre-Ride. That's pretty important in my book.

First time it happened to me, was my introduction to the "reserve" position on the Airhead's fuel petcock. I managed to get it switched before losing all forward momentum, and let the R80 bump-start itself back to life.
