Might help if you told people what you ride, and whether or not it's SL, red/green sticker, how proficient you are and the terrain you're interested in riding.

oops, I should have clarified - thanks

I'm looking for novice-intermediate trails; tricky is okay, but a mix with easy stuff is better. Wide open is sort of boring...

I have 2 non-street plated dirt bikes:
-2003 Honda XR100R - red sticker
-1996 Honda CR125 (geared/flywheel'd/suspension for MX) - green sticker

for my experience, between 1996-2002, in a backyard, I rode a 1972 Honda XL-250:

and a 1979 KD125:

I took a 5 year hiatus from dirt and got on a street bike (1989 Ninja 600R), then from 2007-2009, I also ride an XR80 in both a backyard:

then traded it in for a 1998 RM125, with the eric gorr 144 top end and hot rods stroker crank:

thing ran like a bat outta hell, but it honestly spent more time broken than running

used it to ride mostly trails, with the occasional MX...rode that from 2009-2011

At the same time of owning the RM125, I also had a Honda XR200R...pogo stick suspension, but the thing was a tank!

sold both in 2011, moved to CA, and bought my current bikes, where I've ridden at milestone's novice track about 5 times, wildomar OHV once, and hungry valley once

San Gabriel Canyon OHV area. Never been inside myself. Looks kind of small.

A lot of the fire roads in San Bernardino NF are open to green and red sticker. They have "Motor Vehicle Use Maps" that indicate what trails are legal for OHV. There are many main dirt roads that are not legal for OHV use so you really need the map.

Also CTUC has maps covering much of SoCal indicating what trails and roads are OHV legal. http://www.ctuc.info/ctuc/

There are a couple OHV staging areas in the Cajon Pass (west end of SBNF)...
Baldy Mesa
Cleghorn Ridge

Also up near Silverwood Lake, connecting to the trail network heading up towards Lake Arrowhead.
Miller Canyon
Silverwood Dam

You will need an Adventure Pass to park a truck at any of these places.

A red sticker XR
