Me too.

It's brake fluid that must not be used on Magura systems that say mineral oil on the lid.

Got her home from the dealer and promptly ran her up this hill, I have a 530 EXC and need to see how she handled in the dirt. I know this is not what the thread is about, but its what I did to my KTM today!!

New Renazco

Installed the new Renazco. What a difference.

Before and after.

Treated it to a day out... at the DMV...

... And when I say, "day", I mean it (you know how that goes!)...

Weeks of red tape and sitting around on municipal chairs [when I already had a UK bike license] just to do five figures of 8 in a suburban parking lot.

I shit you not!

To be fair, it's gotta be the first time they've ever had a 'n00b' roll up on a 12-foot tall KATOOM! and I'm pretty sure the 'test' called for a few more maneuvers than were performed. But the examiner [who looked like she'd never even been on a bike, let alone ridden one] figured I either knew what I was doing, or was utterly insane.

Gotta love Louisiana!

Anyway... Fully legit now, so onwards and upwards!

Ordered some parts over the winter and finally got a chance to get into it this weekend...

Safari Tanks
Pro taper CR high bar
Woody's Wheels (only put the front on so far; too much tire left to use on the stocker on the back...)
Fork Revalve by SPS
Finally finished (I hope!) fixing crap the dealer did wrong or incompletely on the bike's only visit to a dealer...for a reason...checked the valves, retorqued the rotor bolt ...
Misc little stuff...

...and today on our first nearly-70 degree day (don't worry, it supposed to snow again next week) took her for a ride after work today.

Wow. MUCH better. Why can't they come this way from the factory?

Anyway...

Tusk Hand mitts over G2 handguards. Work great to about 20* keeping the wind off.

My test consisted of riding 20 yards to the other end of the parking lot and back.

I've seen plenty of riders successfully make it to the DMV that really shouldn't be on the road.

KTM LC8 990 950 carbon windsreen windshield screen

Hey,

I like the KTM Rally Replica look, so I am playing a bit during the winter time. I wanted to produce a carbon windschield that will have better wind protection and look way more cool than the original one :-)

And here is the result.... What do you think? :-)

I have few more...

Yup - absolutely mental!

Try this too:
  • Can't register a bike without insurance
  • Can't get insurance without an endorsement
  • Can't get an endorsement without a registered and insured bike
  • Can't get an endorsement without brake tags
  • Can't get brake tags without an endorsement
Fortunately, they have a clever system to deal with the final point: fully illegally (no endorsement, insurance or tag) ride the bike to an inspections station, get a fail sticker, then go take your test, then go back [or not] to the station to get a proper tag. For the second point, you just have to lie and not respond to a few letters from the insurance company.

Then it all just falls into place...

That said, focusing on scraping the pegs while performing the figure of 8s was kinda fun!

In other news: K60s just arriving from CJ helped erase the memories.

Pass the spoons!
