Generally, when they talk about restricting magazine capacity, it relates to detachable magazines. But who the hell knows what they'll do next.
Politicians are generally lawyers too dumb to make a living, so that's who's making our laws.

We have mag cap restrictions up here but they were nice enough
to give rimfires a pass. |

It would be awesome if we could keep the heavy political stuff out of the Rimfire thread. Yes, mag capacity restrictions suck.

From:
http://www.facebook.com/NRAmuseum ![]() GUN OF THE DAY- Remington Double Derringer Remington’s double derringer was manufactured over an almost seventy year span, from 1866 to 1935. The design had a firing pin that automatically alternated from top to bottom barrels to fire the stubby .41 rimfire cartridges. This example has a little different history in that it was once carried for personal protection by General Bryce Poe, as an aviator in the Korean War. Poe selected a plated pistol for corrosion resistance and used a El Paso Saddlery wrist holster to conceal his two-shot sidearm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.41_Rimfire_Cartridge George |

Found an OK example of a S&W 2 a few months back....was an intresting bit, but not the direction I was going with my collection.
Intresting how so many things back at the dawn of the cartridge era was rimfire....so many don't know that a henry was remfire....had to fire up the computer to prove it to one person.

We need a thread bump here. I sold my Henry awhile back and have regretted it ever since. Yeah, It happens way too often.
So last month I went looking for another one. Checked out a new Uberti Silverboy which was really nice but the stock was all dinged up. Really a shame too, the action and general overall feel felt really good, nice rifle. I then found a Henry and this Browning BL 22. I immediately fell in love with the BL 22. Fit and finish is excellent. The 33 degree lever throw is addicting for sure and it shoots so nice. It cost more, but I really am keeping this one forever.

Couple years ago, I helped a bud move his stash of firewood. It was stored at his Dad's farm and the farm was sold so he had to clean out the farm house as well. His brother took most of his Dad's guns and left my friend just three. Much to my surprise Jim gave me the three guns to help with the move.
Gun 1 is a Mossberg Chuckster Model 620KA. A single shot 22 mag that I have found to be very accurate even with the open sights. Manufactured 1960 to 1968. The feral cats are beginning to hate me ![]() ![]() I even scored 150 rounds of ammo for my efforts: ![]() Gun 2 is a Winchester "boy gun" a Model 1902 single shot .22 short, long and long rifle. Not any bluing left, stock is cracked, glued, and pinned. front sight is missing but the gun shoots fine! I have a lead on a new aftermarket stock for $60 but it is back ordered Manufactured 1902 to 1931 ![]() ![]() Gun 3 was a Winchester Model 1894 30 WCF takedown. It had about 50% bluing left but shot well. I had to refuse it guys. I told my bud it was worth too much he better sell it himself. And he did for $1250 to a collector. |
