"TO CLARIFY FOR EVERYONE: Today's F1 schedule on @NBCSN 1:30pm ET Qualifying/ 10:30pm ET Practice/ Midnight Qualifying/ 1:30AM ET LIVE RACE"

My interpretation: No live coverage of Q2/Q3, but will package the new video into the previously scheduled Qualy time slot.

Edit: Interpretation confirmed!

It is very odd that they are converting the time to EST. Aren't we all on daylilght?

People don't seem to know the difference. They get all confused if I mention EDT time.

I think when they say EST, they mean EDT. They're talking about live coverage of the race itself beginning 1:30AM EST, but my TV listing shows it at 10:30PM PDT, which corresponds to 1:30AM EDT. From this, I would surmise they are going to televise tape-delayed coverage of Q2 and Q3 qualifying in the hour before the actual race at 9:30PM PDT (12:30 AM EDT).

I'll probably skip watching it - for all the drama about the new season, it looks like the same general pecking order we've had for the past couple years. I'm ready for a change.

So this one guy who likes to party leaves the sport for 2 years and goes rallying, partying and so on, comes back and wins one race during his comeback season while finishing 3rd on the championship and now starts this season with a commanding win.

Gotta love him
