[QUOTE=heliyardsale;20977671]I need more room! 30x40 is not big enough!

There is no such thing as a garage that's too big. C'mon really have you ever heard anyone say I wish my garage was smaller.

Do I spy a CL70?

Looks like a 60X80 might not be enough room

It's been a long time, since I've contributed anything to this thread. Some may remember this being my shop. It's a 24'X36', with 10"/12" attic trusses. My neighbor did the concrete and framed the lower walls, while I was away with work. He and I set the trusses. I did all the sheeting, roofing, siding, etc. Door carriage door hardware and exterior lighting will be added last. I started this project, in '07.

The 22'X22' garage was already here. I stripped, shingled, and sided it to match the shop.

I've been messing in the shop attic, the last few days. I've got the floor put in. I used clipped 7/16" OSB, as I don't plan to load it too heavily. I can always add a layer of luan, if I should decide to, though. I'm waiting on the dropdown stairs to come in. Then, I'll determine where I want them and cut the hole. This area is 10'X36'.

The outer areas, down each side, are an additional 4'X36'.

These shots are of the diagonal supports, bracing the trusses. I've seen new construction that don't have these. I've, also, seen a house and commercial building blow down, in straightline winds. Neither structure had any type of bracing.

I've got 100A roughed in. This shop wasn't planned and I already poured the driveway. I dug trenches on each side of the driveway and plumbed a water hose into the conduit. With a drilled galvanized cap on the leading end, I drove it through, under the driveway. I busted seven fittings, but, I got it through. This picture is just me thinking that I'm going to run two additional conduits to the ceiling, to ease any additional circuits I may add later. Lighting is the only thing I'm thinking I'll add.

Once I get this finished, I'm starting on the house. It's getting an enclosed front porch, three layers of siding stripped, windows, doors, sheeting, siding, and all the trimmings. Then, I'll start the interior gutting. By then, snow should, again, be flying.

My wife was so bummed that I filled her car's spot with bikes and had to build her her own two car garage!

A year old but pretty complete.

We moved in a year ago Halloween. We had the builder put in a sink with hot and cold water. Best garage for me ever.

Fab, where abouts aare you going to be in Devon, as you've mentioned campsite, I'll have to plan a trip from (not so sunny at the moment) Somerset :)
