Edit: sold!

Well, I stole my wife's vm32s for the r90/6 and she mandated that if I did that, I had to sell the old carbs to fund her new ones.

Yes ma'am.

I actually have four for sale, but only two of them are what I'd call carbeurators- the other two are at best antique store decorations.

On with the pics.

These were rebuilt in August or so with new floats, diaphragms, float valves, idle mix needle, and jets. All just back to stock.

They worked consistently and well, but I was looking to eke out a few more mpg from the bike and I'm kinda stuck with them mikunis now.

Detail shots:

One of the carb bodies does have corrosion but it's limited to the bowl area.

Other one:

Altogether you get 3 functional tops, diaphragms and needles, 4 bowls, two good carb bodies and innards, two trash bodies with partial innards, and the knowledge that the two I pulled off my bike ran last week and were cleaned before that- not after, as I don't want to shiny up something just to sell it.

185$? PM me; I would consider some trades as well. (Think speedos that are cooler than /6 speedos, although mine works well.)

Sold!

The inside. I just blew one, instant no-brakes. They were old and possibly luftmeister. it was the line from the handle bar MC to the splitter and it went at the splitter where it flexes the most. Plastics like teflon and nylon fatigue under flexing just like metals do, but it takes more and longer.

I have been advised to replace all 3 lines.

RT dash pad thing FT---sale pending

Sale Pending.

I think this goes to an RT, it's the tall one, (the short on goes on an RS). Has two switches that feel OK, untested. One switch has a plug, the other some bare cut wires. Neither seems to be illuminated. Each has an on contact and a momentary contact. There is a pop out plate in the center for something. Seems to be in good condition, pliable.

I need a rear brake rod for a long wheelbase frame, the wing nut for same and maybe a rear axle spacer.

90/6 front brake rotor

Came off my 90/6. Flat, thick, corrosion free, minimal grooving.

I need new brake lines so call it $143 + shipping if you need it shipped.

I also have the fork sliders than went with this and an assortment of other stuff. I'll try to get it posted as time permits.

Seat, Seat foam and cover.

Seat. I think it's /7 but not entirely sure. Some holes from a rack, tear in the front but top is fine. Trim is trashed. Foam feels good. pan is solid, some surface rust at th3 front hinge and hinge screw threads are rusty. I can run a tap through these to clean them up or put in threaded inserts (standard, not metric)

Seat foam,OEM, R100RS long seat. Good condition, not hardened up, brittle or crushed. But it ain't brand new either.

Used OEM seat cover R100RS long seat. Good condition, no rips or tears, flexible.

Offers entertained. The seat foam is sort of dear as I may cut it up to make my new seat. It could then be glued back together.

A ton of other stuff. See link in my sig.

WTB Excellent Cond Clutch Control 81 - on Airheads

I am looking for a Excellent condition handlebar clutch control set for an 81 on Airhead.

Here is a pic of the part:

I don't need the Lever itself if that helps. Mine is heavily oxidized and I need to remedy that. I do not need the Electrical portion on that side unless the price was right and it was in Excellent condition as well.

Custom Aluminum airhead gas tank

New custom made aluminum alloy fuel tank for BMW Airhead motorcycles years 1970 to 1984 and beyond. Will fit bikes with an under tank master cylinder as shown in the pictures. Perfect for an urban style street tracker / cafe racer or for a track or race bike. Professionally pressure tested and leak free. Comes with flip-up gas cap, not attached. Fuel tap bungs are unthreaded so you can fit your preferred petcocks. Will not fit with the stock seat and a custom mount is needed. Use it in its raw state or add paint for a personal touch. It looks cool as is, for a rough urban style cafe racer or vintage race bike for the track, but I would not recommend that you polish it due to it's irregular surface. I bought it on a whim from the Netherlands and while I like it, I wanted to polish it and for that you need a tank as smooth as glass which this one is not. Looking to just break even here.

$550 plus $38 shipping.
PM me if interested.

Bill, This looks smaller than a standard large tank until the shot of it on a bike and then it looks larger than an OEM large tank. Any idea of how much it holds?
