That spot is about 1/2 mile from my cabin.

This is the turn off to my cabin.

Whoever took these stop by next time. Plenty of camping room.

When I go past that area I'm almost exactly halfway between home and Anchorage. I don't even stop at Eureka for pie and coffee any more - always in too much of a hurry (and the fact that I'm southbound before they open in the morning, and northbound long after they close at night).

But thanks for the invite anyway.

Hey!! Get yer butt up here and take yer own, ya lazy bum.

I've seen enough of your photos to know you'll get some good ones, so point that red machine north some fine summer day and take a look at scenery that photos cannot begin to capture - all the way up through B.C., Yukon, and Alaska. You'll never regret it.

Me neither, tho I will stop there for gas once in a while.

I MUCH prefer the food just a few miles south at this place:

I cheated and flew up there with family in tow.

Alaska has been on my mind since our ride there last summer. I hope I can return soon.

Here are a few photos from the Dalton Highway. We were blessed with excellent weather and stunning light.

Scenery like this is why I need 2 months off to ride there from California! It'd be a dream come true for me!

You need to read Dave's ride report of the ride he took up here two-up with his wife. They rode from Arizona, through California, all the way to Prudhoe Bay, and back down - in 25 days, hitting all the top spots along the way! A fantastic trip, taking his trademark fantastic photos as he went.
