I found the cause for the chain noise and the clutch slippage I was experiencing. Found that the PO had smoke the clutch so bad that he destroyed one friction plate so he took it out. Only running three friction plates the adjment nut bottoms before it applies enough pressure. Then I found the counter shaft sprocket retaining c-clip out of its grove letting the pair of sprockets walk around. Your 450s don't have this style of counter sprocket.

Gonna email Christini to get some new sprockets and bearings and clutch plates.

How do you like the front drive ratio on your setup? Would you go higher, lower or stay the same?

Any opinions on real world usage with the front drive in regards to when it kicks in?

No, but still testing. I think eventually increasing the front drive %age will cause understeer? But so far the 10 to 15 on the front chain seems pretty good compared to the 9 to 16.

They seem about the same, but I've never had a problem with the WC braces on my CRF.

I would have more info but the great state of new jersey won't let me register it. Now I feel like I live in Cali. So I can't ride it around to figure shit out. Hopefully soon or I'm dumping this whole thing. One un happy christini owner right now

I would like to try a taller set of sprockets however the clutch slippage needs to be fixed before I can decide on ratio. I Emailed Christini with the part #s I needed, I'm surprised I haven't heard back from them. Want to take it to the dirty poker run over in Beverly this weekend but I ran out of time to get my stuff together.

Need

Hey guys,
We at Seatconcepts need to get a seat for one of these for R&D purposes.
First one to send us one gets a free Seatconcepts seat kit installed and shipped back to you.
We only need it for a couple of days.

Dang, wish my Christini was a DS450. Seat Concepts build a great seat. I have one on my XRR. If you want a KTM 300 Christini seat to build I will gladly send you mine.

The Christini bikes use the same seat as the Honda 450X which I'm sure you've already made a seat kit for it

Ok, what do I win for saving you money

Thanks for the heads up.
I see that you own both bikes, have you actually tried to do a seat swap?

I challenge anyone to kick start these things. A lot have tried and a lot have cried. I have a standing $20 bet with anyone who comes to ride mine.

Safest $20 in the world.
