Reckon I could make up about 160kms of twists & turn on dirt to get from Murrumbateman to Jugiong

let me know cost, availability of reflective stickers, 80's bikes are all the rage, overated slugs!! Never!! I like mine , can still walk after 1000k day.

Over ratted slugs comment was a bit harsh they were canned when they came out though. I took one for a spin on a warm day in the city and did not like it. I'm sure its a great mile eater and probably a really good Canberra winter bike. It looks less weird with age the hyabusa thing has grown on us and it makes the K1 look a bit pretty.

To me they have design cues from the bike in Akira, a fave anime of mine. Probably why I like the look.

Yeah, I often describe it as a "Manga" styled bike. I moved from a K100RS to the K1 because the slightly changed ergonomics fitted me better (short an' fat). I also like the unusual look of it. And now it's a collectable classic, and appreciating. In 21 months mine will be 25yo with >120,000 km on it. So probably not a "prime" collectable, but still....
