I'm not a fan of HD,but I could see me riding an 883 dual sport.Harley is loosing a large chunk of the market by not offering smaller scrambler and dual sport motorcycles. My opinion tho.I could see this becoming and offering from HD.

Ok, enough grahpics! Next pictures will be real - new front end installation with new hub and Braking caliper, aluminum tank, crash bars, and if i can get Ohlin's moving on my rear shocks, then them too. Way too much to do before May 4th ...

No I can't see it. H-D always seem to get their fingers burnt when they leave their core business, big cruisers, and try something new. Witness their Italian love affairs, Buell, and even our beloved XR1200 Sporties.

Hello,
Jimmy said 'can you guess where this famous building is? Bambi may know....'
It reminds me a bit of the new ICE railway central station in Berlin. When I passed it in a train it was still under construction. Some details of the pic very much remind me of it. On the other hand: All our big and new railway stations are looking that way. Frankfurt-upon-Main might be, too ...
Kind regards, Bambi ... curious ...

Iris has just picked some pictures of Berlin and Frankfurt railway station via google. I seem to be wrong with both guesses. It's surely not Frankfurt! There are buildings like that in our gouvernment-quarter at Berlin, but this only a guess, too ... been there once and only passed these buildings on a boat on the Spree-river.
More regards, Bambi

Correct on Germany - Its in Stuttgart - I havent been there, but architecture looks inspiring...

Stuttgart, Neue Messe

The Neue Messe Stuttgart, on the Filder Plain, is the exhibition centre of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg

Hello Jim,
some of our best friends live at Stuttgart but we haven't visited them there for about 3 years. Only met them every year at a vintage bike-race where they use be on the starting grid. So we don't loose contact totally ...
Some years back we've been to Stuttgart every year for a harvest-run with our Brit-bikes. We should take every effort to do so again ...
Kind regards, Bambi

The new triple clamps just back from machining and anodize. All fits together nicely. I cant wait to install them. The bike should be back with its new 6 gal gas tank by this weekend hopefully. Then install these and take a few more pics before sending the front wheel out for rebuild with new hub.

I presume that the gold-coloured item between the top triple clamp and the handlebar clamp is a steering damper?
