KLR Overberg trip

Took delivery of the KLR yesterday
So, its time for a short trip to see how the bike performs
Crisp Sunday morning, the Overberg is waiting

Vark se snoet

First time on gravel

Elim on a Sunday morning

No feul on a Sunday, and also not at any day of the week

The new and old "tractors"

Animal gate, this animal can cross

Through Sandy's Glen

This bus is going nowhere

Hermanus in the far distance

Back home

What a nice trip, indeed

Very nice indeed. Looks like great country, most of us will never see.

Curious, how far away is a Kawasaki dealer for you, to get simple consumables like oil filters and the occasional clutch lever and such things?

Great you got the Motech crash bars already.

May I ask what camera you are using, the wide images telling me it's not a typical format, something with a pano mode or is it stills from an HD video camera?

Thanks for posting, ride safe. If there are any KLR questions you have, just ask. There are some things you will want to address before too long. And a few other things you will want to at least know about.

Keep the goat's eye fully black with oil!

Don't believe much of what the manual tells you. It also says we have SIX gears..... I am still looking for number 6....

Great post.

Hi, the closest dealer is in Cape Town, 150 odd km from me, but any parts or accessories can be ordered and delivered without much cost

It's my third KLR in the past seven years, so it seems I'm quite fond of them
I found today that I'm quite comfortable on the bike, it works for me

Camera is the Canon PowerShot SX240HS, quite a handy little camera with great features and quality, very happy with it

Will push your button when help is needed

Regards

Thank you for the report and pictures!

A wonderful reminder of the old Cape Dutch architecture!

Just moved to Canada and although I'm loving it, these pics make me miss home (which is Cape Town).
