I've done work on this plane!
![]() Nice to see they returned it to original configuration with the chin turret.

Who owns/flies those F104's? Do they go on an air show circuit? Seeing as they left the US inventory around 1970 it must have been fun checking yourself out in that aircraft. Maybe you found someone who once flew them and listened very well.

Saw a pair of privately owned F-104's put on a show at Oshkosh in '98. Is that the same pair.

My God, who pays the fuel bills on those 104's?

We have to pay both the fuel and the appearance fees. Yeah, not cheap. Dont know the exact funding stream, but they are owned by something related to the Kennedy Space Center. He has a few more of them over there too.

Vortex generators
I'll give this a shot but I am looking for maybe 8 wing vortex generators to experiment with on my bike. Found a reseller but the smallest amount they have is a bag of 80 which I would never need. They didn't have any lose ones laying around as they are the retailer. Anyone have some of these they would part with for a fee?

On that website there appears to be a two-seater. For training?

Anyone else notice the 50,000 ft per minute rate of climb on the f104?

if you are putting them on a bike, you might be best off getting a beer can or similar lightweight sheet metal, folding some to a shape and lots of trial and error. Thats my thoughts, Hay Ewe
