If anybody is riding in from the Inland Empire (I'm in Temecula) Wednesday morning and wants company (or doesn't mind keeping me company
)I cancelled my spot in Jimmy Lewis' class..... , my Mom really needs some company for a few days so I won't be there until Wednesday afternoon (I'll have to meet you fellow classmates at the rally, those who sent site numbers, I'll find you so you can pass on some sand riding tips!)Dang, this has been a crazy 4 weeks.....really hoping that these things don't really happen in threes ![]() 1. Is there a place out of sight that we could stash gas Thursday night? I could drive out there and stage some if there is a pretty secure place to hide it. Looks like it is about a 80 mile each way drive, does that sound about right? Maybe somebody else could go by later and pick up the emptys. I am pretty sure my bike has the range to make the loop without a gas stop.

Sat I am going over hunter to tea kettle the out via UbeHebe and back via pavement.
This is in the 4x4, it is listed as a ride as well on the board. If needed I can haul gas but my plan is to leave bout 8am which means the bikes if they leave at the same time will be ahead of me by a good distance and time. If that is a non issue then i will be able to provide gas. I am going through regardless.

Hair on fire!

It has been a trial getting my WR seat cut down. I was determined not to procrastinate so I started looking for someone to do it around the middle of Feb. I was referred to someone who does excellent work and arranged for her to do it when she was in town at the end of Feb. All set or so I thought - just before the end of Feb she had to cancel her trip to Vancouver and wouldn't be in town again until April. She recommended somebody else - they couldn't do it until this week because their foam cutter was broken. I asked if I bring it in Monday will it be done first thing Thursday. Yes, no problem. I dropped the seat off on Monday again asking if it would be ready for 9 am Thursday. Yes, no problem. So I show up at the shop promptly at 9am and guess what? Seat sitting on the workbench not started
Crap, my whole day was planned on getting that seat at 9 so I could ride the bike and get the new tires installed at 10. Pick up handguards after that then gym at 1, home by 2:30, lunch, shower, nap, at work by 6 pm for the night shift. I explained this to the guy and he started on it right then and had it finished by 9:45! It looks perfect too He cut it down a lot so it's hard but I can touch the ground with both toes, no yamalink required New tires are installed, handguards bought and will be installed tomorrow then I'm good to go!
