I was referred to someone who does excellent work and arranged for her to do it when she was in town at the end of Feb. All set or so I thought - just before the end of Feb she had to cancel her trip to Vancouver and wouldn't be in town again until April. She recommended somebody else - they couldn't do it until this week because their foam cutter was broken. I asked if I bring it in Monday will it be done first thing Thursday. Yes, no problem. I dropped the seat off on Monday again asking if it would be ready for 9 am Thursday. Yes, no problem. So I show up at the shop promptly at 9am and guess what? Seat sitting on the workbench not started Crap, my whole day was planned on getting that seat at 9 so I could ride the bike and get the new tires installed at 10. Pick up handguards after that then gym at 1, home by 2:30, lunch, shower, nap, at work by 6 pm for the night shift. I explained this to the guy and he started on it right then and had it finished by 9:45! It looks perfect too He cut it down a lot so it's hard but I can touch the ground with both toes, no yamalink required New tires are installed, handguards bought and will be installed tomorrow then I'm good to go!

That's great to hear Cindy sounds like you're all set, flat footing on a bike is over rated and having full suspension travel is very good. You're doing the J Lewis class right? Along with everything else, finding better balance will make up for your tippy toes and you'll be glad you went that route, hopefully. lol
You're going to tackle that sand like it's not even there this year! ( did great last year, but that little front wheel sure made it harder for you!)
Nancy and I are looking forward to seeing/riding with you again. Safe travels South, see you soon, very soon!

commemorative glasses are here....compliments of aaron (traveltoad) and jeff (jab).... and thanks. they've been supporting this event for 5 years in a row.

the off road version

we should give them away thursday or friday (will confirm) to avoid using disposable plastic cups. don't forget, each person is responsible to bring his/her own fork, utensils and drinking cup.

just getting better...

Take your time and do it right. Death Valley isn't the place to break down, unless you really want to ride on the back of Ersin's bike.
There are two vultures riding around in trucks. If we find the bike..........

Of course if we find you and the bike, you better have a fist full of cash.

All kidding aside, reread the red text above. Make sure that you have a spot and you have shared that info with DSM8 and ride with a group. The last suggestion would be make sure that you have enough gear to spend the night. The last recovery we did took us until the wee hours of the am to get everything sorted out.

Love the shop, wish I had one that big and that well stocked!

I will be in a white Dodge 4x diesel. Any bike I see on the side of the road I WILL stop and offer assistance.
