Nice One Ten - haven't seen a wingtop raised heater intake before.
Surprised to see yours was a petrol truck, it's the other way around here; diesel powered Defenders are still a rare beast in the USA. I'm nearly done with my 110 restoration: Before: ![]() After:

Nice job.
Without vents under the windows that open it needed something to get some air in. |

My truck is "cool".
![]() It's highly unlikely my truck has experienced much, if any, snow in it's 48 prior years living in NC. Forever ruined now as I was trying to get back home to PA from a race weekend in Danville, VA before the storm hit. I failed.

My grandfather had a '66 in yellow & white. He used to brag that it was the first year of the padded dash.

For what?!
That truck served Paul & Lola (and daughters and grandchildren) very well, taking us camping where frequently a 4WD would have been preferable, and hauling a Red Dale fifth wheel from Ft Collins, CO to the tip of Baja & back. The only thing I didn't like about it was having to sit in the middle of the bench seat & being rapped on the kneecap every time Grandpa caught fourth.

First year, yes, but the padded dash was an option. Maybe a quarter of the trucks had them.
Wish mine had the granny-low 4 speed; the 3 speed has no guts to get that trailer moving. Pulling out is an excercise in clutch slipping. I'd like to change it, but loathe the idea of cutting a hole in the perfect floor pan. The truck gets more stares, waves and comments than the race car, or any other classic car I've owned except my Austin Mini.

How about attaching an underdrive to the back of the tranny? Or install an overdrive and put shorter gears in the diff.

Make sure it gets a very good undercarriage wash as soon as weather permits.
