Really looking forward to seeing all you guys up there on Sunday.

An update to my accident and injuries.

I was admitted to hospital on Wednesday night as I had severe pain in my calf muscle and side of ankle. Turns out I developed two blood clots in my leg. I stayed in hospital over night and got home late yesterday afternoon.

I'm now on two injections a day to thin my blood and warferin tablets for 3 months. I've also got to go and get a new cast put on Monday.

I'm really missing my bike and my mobility (I know James, I'm a sook). I really want to get stuck into cleaning my bike from the accident but it's a little difficult with the cast and crutches.

I'm bitterly disappointed that I'll be missing this ride with you all, I'm hoping by just being there in the morning I'll get a bit of a fix and get to say hello to a few people.

See you all there on Sunday

Wasca, sorry to hear that mate, but there will always be the next ride.

If you are desperate to get the bike clean, let me know, and I'll send Mickd over. After all, he did promise to help out with anything I needed on Sunday

Don't forget, you could always meet us at Matthew Flinders Rest area as well as Woodford.... Just a thought.

Hey Wasca, don't feel so bad as I will attempt to drop it in a creek crossing just for you Still remember the look on your face after the last crossing on El Ponkins ride when he said there may be some harder ones yet, just after we emptied a couple of ltrs out of our boots. And if we come across any of those other group can we rumble
Regards Eric

Ahhhh.... I forgot to mention the number one rule of Snail Trails rides:

If you are gonna drop it, you need to alert the ride leader, so he can get the video camera ready.... Fair's fair after all!!

And as for rumbling... hell yes! Bring it on!! (I reckon we can win... easy).

Lol Eric, that brings back some fond memories, not!

I actually faced that crossing again in January when I did a trip RideWithMe up to Gympie and back. When faced with the crossing I just stopped and said no way. He went straight across and came back. Braver man than me.

Harley riders, are those the one's that put a hanky over their face when they ride, don't worry about them as they will be too busy watching bumblebee take a slash

Wasca I think you need to post your creek crossing on monsoldale rd from the day you broke your ankle later in the day, it really was your creek crossing graduation

Strummer,

When Team H have had the big numbers on rides they split them up into groups with their own leads and sweeps and stagger the departure by ten minutes to keep the dust down, just an idea but could do three groups.
  1. Arseclowns and arseclown siblings first
  2. Then Yamahahahas
  3. Then DRs plus the also rans, Kawas Huskys blah blah
Andy
