The first thing I thought of when I saw Fongy at the helm

EDIT: When I posted this I embeded it from youtube assuming it was just the good old theme song, but it's an edited version, cracked me up.
(I am easily amused)

Does anybody know where you can still get the
old fashioned, non vinyl, cloth style electrical tape. (Friction tape)
I want to wrap a portion of a wiring harness up
and that shiny stuff just doesn't look right
Have tried all the usual auto stores

You could try Auslec Wingfield.. The closest thing I reckon you will be able to get is fibre glass tape. They should carry it in stock as it is the main industrial store for their Adelaide network.

The self fusing rubber tape doesnt look too bad an a harness - it is wide enough to go on lengthways and the slightly textured matt black rubber looks OK.

The other alternative is to go to a British car wrecker and scrounge a wiring harness. The tape is not adhesive and can be salvaged easily, and you will have a lifetime supply of every size and colour of wiring and most of connectors that you will ever need.

There are 2 types of self vulcanizing tape. Get the one in the red and yellow box that is about 15mm wide and not the one in the cardboard colored box which is 40mm wide. Both are available from Auslec the second tape works a treat but is like tar and doesn't come off anything easily

There is an alternative......bit outside the square here but it might do for what you need.

First Aid Cloth Tape.......and then just spray paint it what ever colour you want

I did say it's a bit "out there" didn't I?
Cheers,
Con

Weekendend after Flinders will be a bit hard for me Craig.
If Bubba can make it, you'll be fine as most of the tracks were his.

Wouldn't mind catching up catching up with you and your brother for a ride down south in the near future though

You got access to an Enduro style bike mate?
