Lance has been with the intro group. Our group has Del, Jason, Jeff and Mark.
So far they haven't said anything that I haven't heard before, but the way they translate those things and coach...fanatastic...

Rise and Shine!

so, there are 40 chairs in that photo. Just curious what the student to instructor ratio is? How many folks in your class?

For our group we have 19 students and 4 coaches. I think the intro class is about the same.
The coaches were always providing great feedback. Little tweaks and suggestions where needed and best of all consistent. They never contradicted what another coach may have already told you..

Great morning....got to play in the sand box....a really deep sand box.

The first runs doesn't go so well for everyone..

But it got better..

When we got to the next exercise..things didn't go so well
I'm no BMW expert...but aren't the fluids supposed to stay on the inside?

My next property will have a sand pit and a mud hole...

BMWs don't need no stinking liquid.

Have fun.

I'm guessing direct hit to skid plate punching the mounts through the motor....either way it looks expensive!

Don't think so this time...though the mighty blue mule performed well (even with street shoes) I would take any one of my bikes over it.
Just didn't fit me...

So today started with deep sand...by the time we were done i was actually having fun in it...

But the afternoon was hill climbs and off camber turns...

The off camber turns were fun. Kind of like the half pipe for snow boards except for the rattlesnakes and thorn bushes and cliffs on the other side...they were actually easy once you got your rythem.

The hills climbs were something else. Plenty of choices on how sadistic you wanted to be.

There were straight hills, turns, step ups and longer ones...but all had a bit of loose dirt.
You learn a lot about momentum and body positioning when you attempt these with street tires.

The hill climbs did have there downside. One of the guys in our class got a bit out of shape on a decent and went down hard. I believe the word we got back was that he had broken his foot.

I think over the course of the two days riding, the injury count was very minor.
1 broken foot
A couple bruised arms
And plenty of sore muscles...

So the class is finished, certificates and t-shirts have been handed out and I head back east tomorrow.

I still have a bunch of gopro video to edit and post...and I'm really looking forward to try these new skills on home turf trails and sharing what I learned with the friends I ride with.

A few of the other students are inmates here and will hopefully add there views and photos as well....

That doesn't surprise me in the least, your other bikes pull harder. I will want to hear more about this when you get back....when do you get in?
