I forgot to post this in here http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788118

Sadly the mighty Katoom is up for grabs. I need something to commute long distances to work and make trips on. No room for two bikes so the KTM has to go for now. It is setup and ready to roll! Gonna miss it dearly :(

Dang man. I have REALLY enjoyed this thread! Clearly you have enjoyed the 530!! Hate to see you have to sell it, but I understand how life gets in the way sometimes

Yup it will be sad when she goes

I'm probably looking to get a 2011+ Kawasaki Ninja 1000. It's their new "sporty" sport-tourer. VERY comfortable and lots of cool features to make it a great commuter/light tourer. I will buy another cheap dirty bike for my dirt fix (maybe used XC-W).

Really wished I could build an empire and keep the mighty KTM but life unfortantely doesn't work for me like that so it has to go to make room for the N1K.

I need a bit of carb advice for the 530.

If I have the carb off the bike the black idle knob is screwed out to where the slide bottoms out, is that where I want to set the idle as a starting point, or do I need to have it higher?

I am at sea level and I have the JD kit in with the 175 main, red needle on 5th clip position from top for the hot/humid conditions.

I set mine just to fit the rear shank of a 0.052" drill bit under the engine side of the slide. I read this on another forum, worked good as I just did mine this weekend.

Cool, that gives me a good starting point.

Now I just have to stuff the !#$^!#@ thing back in the bike... I don't know why they have to make things sooooo tight fitting on something people are likely to be messing with often.

euro finder light question

Good morning - I am a long time lurker, first time poster and am wondering if any of you has ideas on things I could look for. I just bought the KTM euro fender with the LED taillight from Diego (thanks Diego.) However, the light is just bright - like I was on the brakes the whole time. I triple checked things and even pugged the old light back in, which worked fine, so it couldn't be the switch. Is there anything else I should do before I return for a new unit? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

LG
