KLM welcome. I am army so I know what you mean about the basic riders course. Back from iraq I had to wait a month to ride because of it. Enjoy the machine!

Thanks for the welcome. I wasn't sure I would find a place here since it a bit of an oddball, at least in the US.
Sounds good, shoot me a PM when you're ready to ride.

And here's my Djebel in Chiba.

how do you check the fuel level at the bowl?I already drilled the brass my question was about the carburetor and fuel screwI could not get to the fuel screw while the carburetor was on the bike. I am going to order the screw from the post above in hopefully that will help.

Didn't even see that scooterhoon, I've seen a couple of your vids when I was researching this bike. Good vids you got there.

Mountain enduro, he's is just telling me what was on the bill of sale from the shop here were we live. He nor I have actually looked into it any further than that. Guess now I will have to actually look more into it. Thanks for telling me regardless, this could help me out in the future.

Also we went riding on some serious hill climbs this past weekend, one thing I noticed was the throttle seemed way longer than any other bike I've owned. Is there a way to shorten it? Thanks guys

DRZ250 rear shock

Hey, does anyone know if a rear shock/ spring from a 2010 DR650 will fit a 2004 DRZ250? Just putting it out there before I tinker myself...

a dr650 spring will only work with a 2" spacer reducer

racetech sells a spring

the dr250/350 spring and shock will work too

That's good to know. Any particular ones you recommend? Also do we have a push/pull throttle?

Ok pull out the carb, unscrew the bowl, dry the inner carb at the jets all that top area, put again the bowl without screws, hold the bowl with your hand ( best if someone can help) and hold the carb in a straight position beside the tank near the fuel petcock(put it in "On" position) then close the fuel and take off the bowl carefully, the fuel level will leave a wet mark at the jets ,that wet mark has to cover all jets at least 1 cm.

At the screw I just did the 3 turns out with the carb off.
Hope it can help.

Install is straight forward, all you need is the boot (connecting b/w the back of the carb and the airbox) from the pumper carb model.
And a slight tweak to the throttle cable bracket to prevent it from increasing the rpms at full right lock.
