You are a better man than me! If you've got the right gear, and are warm and dry, have fun.
Thanks for the offer. I was tempted to call off trip, but am meeting girlfriends folks in Arkansas Tuesday. Christy is driving down today and the conditions are much worse. This is trout heaven though. Might fish some today. Hoping roads are warm enough tomorrow to ride put. Flurries here now. 24 for low tonight. Brrrrr

You need no Membership card to purchase at a scout store. They will be more than glad to take your money.

That's a pretty cool website. I bet my boys would be excited to go there. My eldest will be Cub Scout aged next fall!

One more night of the cold down at Ouachita national forest, the the weather should start to warm up. 2 nights at roaring river were intensely cold with ice and snow, but we made it out today by 10. Stopped every 40 miles or so to warm feet. Winter camping/ riding at it's finest. How is the snow in stl area?

There is a scout shop on Page, just west of Lindbergh, on the north side of the road.
I grabbed their last chair, but they'll have three more in by the weekend. $59.99 and no sales tax. Great chair, comfortable, weighs 2 lbs, best of all it holds 300 lbs!! Ha.
I'm camping for sure on the SBR now, I've got $59.99 tied up in equipment!!

Didn't try, or ask for that matter.. I mentioned "My son is an Eagle Scout" hoping for some favoritism, but everybody there is already an Eagle..
That's still less than I've seen those chairs anywhere else. They are the ones that actually have legs, and get you off the ground. With my knees, I can't stand back up (if I'm starting from ground level.)..

That was me. Saturday was brutal in Roaring river, with a windchill of 12. We did not even eat breakfast/coffee the next day. Damn tent poles were frozen together with ice. Not wanting to camp like that again. Ride out of there was a touch sketchy with icy patches on roads, but for most part were clear, just cold. Been treated to a great week of weather in Arkansas. Was in the 70s today and yesterday. Rode around hot springs area, and took highway 7 back today. At tablerock lake now, camping one more night. Bike is running great.

Christy is super tough, or at least has enough insulation to shake off the cold. :)

Happy Easter guys.
If you get out riding today, there's lots of water in Lost Creek.. I didn't have time to check anything else.
