Am I the only one that thought the timing of Reed's announcement was odd? He's going to have surgery mid-season, even though he seems to be riding really well? Bubba had a knee injury earlier, but elected to fight through it for the rest of the year, but Reed is bailing early?

PS - I saw Two Two Motorsports truck heading west on I-90 near Cleveland on Sunday... that damn thing is HUGE!

I'd imagine he figures there is no way he's got a shot at this SX championship and he want's to be 100% for the start of the Outdoor Nationals.

Ok for you cheap bastards, Cub foods has $10 discount tickets. This is around the MN area. Unsure where you can get them in your neck of the woods.

Subway supposedly has pit passes too starting yesterday...

Looks like I need to go shopping!

Just downloaded the free SX monter energy app too. Damn, SD card is filling up. EDIT: The app is junk! Would not work at first, now it doesn't download.

They are also speculating that it will just be a miniscus clean-up project and he will only miss 3 weeks. With the off-week in the middle that means he will potentially only miss one round of SX. Makes sense to me.

good point. after his epic get off at Millville it's obvious the guy is gutless.

If he cleans up the knee and makes it less of an issue with his speed later in the races, he can potentially salvage a top 3 or 4 position in the series with some strong rides.

Fine old tradition at ADV,second guess pro racers, make fun of their foibles, comment on their lack of bravery.

All while having never once started a race of their own.

I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't more than a few current racers and ex-racers in this thread.

Look at the timed results for Saturday, after 20 minutes Villipoto, Millsaps, Dungey and Reed were within 10 seconds.
That's some close racin' folks!
During that time Dungey stalled his engine somehow, and Reed was riding with a knee that is not full strength.

Villipoto ain't running away with nothing even though he has the points lead today.

Next guy was Barcia 30 seconds behind.

Went to subway and found the Pit Passes in the center of the building. Kinda in the flyer section. Didn't have to ask the old bag behind the counter for the passes so I took 7. I'll pass them out when I stand in line to get in.

Now I have to check out the Cub foods discount.

I caught a part of a live Chad Reed interview yesterday and I think I heard he has a 2nd rider lined up, and a bike is being readied.
