Looking for a few things.
Spot - Not ready to drop the coin for a new one yet and yes I am a KLR rider, so cheap comes naturally.
I am ready to look at a GPS unit for riding that will show roads, take uploaded tracks, but will not again break the bank.
Thanks,
Asa

Cash in hand.

If you have a Mont-bell ultra light super spiral down hugger long #3 (what a mouthful) then I'll make it worth your while. New, they are just outside of my sleeping bag budget.
PM sent on that exact (or #2) bag

Krylon Fusion and really bad luck. I don't know if i did not prep it right or what, but after a week I could still smell it like it was drying, and after a month it chipped realy easily and looked to have not adhered very well.

i know there are people out there that do it all the time but I have had no luck.

Wink WRX to WRR conversion!

Hi All,

I'm in Albuquerque and I'm trying to get my WR250X converted over to an R. I've got a set of R wheels, so I just need the front brake caliper, bracket (and master cylinder?). If you've got an R you wanna make an X let me know and I'll do the whole swap with you. I'm in Albuquerque, but I'll travel to make it happen. :)

Out of curiosity, can you just swap the brake disc from the X wheel to the R wheel? Or is the difference more than the larger diameter?

1st Gen KLR Engine Cover drain bolt Boulder/Denver

Pulled the engine cover on the right side to do some work and upon reassembly cannot find this friggin' bolt. I just know I threw it away with some oily rags and of course trash pickup was today.

I have a ride planned on Sunday and I'm just thinking someone with a parts bike or something may happen to have an extra one sitting around...the parts labeled 92066 and 670 in the diagram below. The bolt is beneath the vertical/diagonal "tube" between the clutch and the water pump.

I'd be happy to bring/mail a replacement back to you once I can get one ordered. Fingers crossed! Thanks.

You might want to give rocky Mountain Kawasaki a call in the morning and see if they have one in stock. Or Colorado Power sports.

Yeah I'll def. do that, thanks. Powersports never seems to have what I need in stock, but Longmont might come through. It's not really a commonly replaced part; I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The hub is different between the two wheels, so the X rotor won't fit on the R wheel. :(

Figure out the size and thread pitch and call NAPA, they have a bunch of generic drain bolts and you might get lucky and find on that will work.

Excellent idea. Probably better than borrowing one- now to find out the bolt specs...
