Wanted to Buy Oz - New here? Read first Post

This sticky is for those who wish to advertise their need to find anything in particular from other inmates. Its seperate from "wanted to buy/for sale" for the bleeding obvious reason of KISS.

Guys if this thread is going to work;

So we don't end up with a pile of minor questions cluttering the thread up.
If you have a response to a request, PM the person who listed it and
continue your negotions via PM or email.

If you have some sort of "comment", find somewhere else to post it.

- if you got it or no longer need it, please delete your post.
- every two months of so we will purge this thread of old posts.

giantloop buck n roll

Hello Inmates

After shopping for a giantloop buck n roll from adventure moto i was dissapointed to learn they have changed the design . they now no longer have the side pockets which work well with my 24l Acerbis on my XR650r . got in contact with giantloop and none of the old style are available .
Does anyone have the old style Buck n roll they would like to sell me ?

Thanks

Haven't got the spare cash at the moment to buy a new one but would like a bit more fuel range than the stock tank.
May also be interested in other DRZ adventure gear so if you have something you don't need let me know.
Did you see this?

Go Cruise GPS cable

Yo

Does anybody have the cable from GPS to power for the almighty Aldi Go Cruise GPS? I have one on my GSA (with the expensive BM plug at t'other end) but I want to use the same GPS on my Scrapheap bike.

Here is a photo of the part I DON'T need - story of my life. Tho if you have these bits for free I'll take em. I want the female bit to the male bit in photo (cue comments), and the cable attached to said girlie bit.

Happy to pay postage and token gratuity in the way of the first shout. or even real money (maybe).

Open the flap on the right hand side of the GPS, you will see a "mini usb" socket there, the one you use to connect the GPS to a computer- it also recharges the GPS when connected to the computer.

Now go to Harvey Norman/Dick Smith or wherever and buy a 12v charging lead to suit.... problem solved.
Garmin/TomTom leads also fit if you have one of those.

I have cradles on two of my bikes, but only one has the power lead hard wired on the bike, the other has a power socket and I just use one of the 12v charger leads as described above.
Recently I started using the 12v rechargers that have two usb sockets and then use the computer usb leads to charge my phone and power the GPS at the same time [note... check the amp output of the recharger, look for one with at least a 2.1 amp output].

Somewhere in the back of the junk cupboard I have an adaptor plug that turns the European/BMW 12v socket in to the standard one as we have here in Australia.

Hope this helps you... and others who may have the same problem.

G'day as they say around these parts, I'm in serious need of a bike as my feet are killing me. Looking for a road bike, preferably something like a VFR750, but will consider anything between 500-900cc and in reasonable condition. Pricewise I'm looking at max 4-5000, but cheaper is always better. I'm stuck in Sydney for the moment but am willing to travel for the right bike. Let me know what you've got!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"
