Perhaps, but in person it looked like a shiny latex mask. Not attractive at all, even from an objective, non-gay standpoint.

Seriously, what compels a man famous for a rugged appearance to go to such lengths to create an artificial visage is beyond me. A little work, tastefully done, I can see - maybe a little color to the hair, a minor lift to get rid of some of the sag, but damn... it was like they cut two inches of skin around his hairline and put traction on the rest of his face, and botox'd the rest. A little face paint and he'd have looked the the Jack Nicholson Joker character.

And I'm not usually a judgmental person. It was that bad.

the ignore list works for me, it makes them show up with a different background.

21 shots...I was hitting him EVERYWHERE! I did the tutorial mission. Is there training elseware?

Finally had a few good games. Started playing my lower level tanks. I think the vickers and the su76 suck

we can bring you into a training room and bring different tanks for you to experament with shot placement to find out what works and what just bounces.

I have a tank that I did this with and found out with a certain tank I can only pen the loaders hatch in the back of the turret... when I see one of those on the field I track and run!

key is knowing the weaknesses and that is something that can be learned pretty easily in a training room, or just to run away

Ugh, longest clan wars series I've been involved in. Something like 1/8 battles, so I'm not sure how many clans were fighting each other to have the right to fight the land holders.

The night started out like this:

And ended (with the land holders) like this:

With my last clan-wars score being really good considering we were working as a team:

What? clan now holds land I guess. We had a good time doing it, and it seems gin, vermouth and olives/onions has helped me win yet again.

I'd been drinking so much that I was broadcasting different "Thrift Shop" lyrics to the other teams mid-games.

What, what, what, what... [x7]

Bada, badada, badada, bada... [x9]

I'm gonna pop some tags
Only got twenty dollars in my pocket
I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up
This is fucking awesome

Nah, Walk up to the club like, "What up, I got a big cock!"
I'm so pumped about some shit from the thrift shop
Ice on the fringe, it's so damn frosty
That people like, "Damn! That's a cold ass honkey."
Rollin' in, hella deep, headin' to the mezzanine,
Dressed in all pink, 'cept my gator shoes, those are green
Draped in a leopard mink, girls standin' next to me
Probably shoulda washed this, smells like R. Kelly's sheets
(Piiisssssss)
But shit, it was ninety-nine cents! (Bag it)
Coppin' it, washin' it, 'bout to go and get some compliments
Passin' up on those moccasins someone else's been walkin' in
But me and grungy fuckin it man
I am stuntin' and flossin' and
Savin' my money and I'm hella happy that's a bargain, bitch
I'ma take your grandpa's style, I'ma take your grandpa's style,
No for real - ask your grandpa - can I have his hand-me-downs? (Thank you)
Velour jumpsuit and some house slippers
Dookie brown leather jacket that I found diggin'
They had a broken keyboard, I bought a broken keyboard
I bought a skeet blanket, then I bought a kneeboard
Hello, hello, my ace man, my Mello
John Wayne ain't got nothing on my fringe game, hell no
I could take some Pro Wings, make them cool, sell those
The sneaker heads would be like "Aw, he got the Velcros"

[Hook x2]

[Verse 2:]
What you know about rockin' a wolf on your noggin?
What you knowin' about wearin' a fur fox skin?
I'm digging, I'm digging, I'm searching right through that luggage
One man's trash, that's another man's come-up
Thank your granddad for donating that plaid button-up shirt
'Cause right now I'm up in here stuntin'
I'm at the Goodwill, you can find me in the (Uptons)
I'm not, I'm not sick of searchin' in that section (Uptons)
Your grammy, your aunty, your momma, your mammy
I'll take those flannel zebra jammies, second-hand, I rock that motherfucker
The built-in onesie with the socks on that motherfucker
I hit the party and they stop in that motherfucker
They be like, "Oh, that Gucci - that's hella tight."
I'm like, "Yo - that's fifty dollars for a T-shirt."
Limited edition, let's do some simple addition
Fifty dollars for a T-shirt - that's just some ignorant bitch (shit)
I call that getting swindled and pimped (shit)
I call that getting tricked by a business
That shirt's hella dough
And having the same one as six other people in this club is a hella don't
Peep game, come take a look through my telescope
Trying to get girls from a brand? Man you hella won't
Man you hella won't

I wear your granddad's clothes
I look incredible
I'm in this big ass coat
From that thrift shop down the road

----------

Long night, but we made a bunch of peeps happy that the clan won. All I know is that by my third martini, at the two-minute mark I awoke to repeated yells for SPEAR! ... I was so tired that I fell asleep.

But that little nap helped

By the last battle I was good to go again, and on my fourth martini, and writing about wearing your granddad's clothes to anyone who would read it.

I just had a couple awesome battles in my mediums.
Mines and Malinovka, flanked and pushed, complete route of the enemy.

Another battle on Fjords I ran headlong into an ELC with my Leopard, destroyed him and pushed him for maybe 1/4 mile. The ELC actually rode up the front of my Leopard. It looked like it was going to roll over but the game mechanics wouldn't let it.
I couldn't stop giggling. I wish I had video of that one.

There are a few tanks that I get rabid about destroying when I come across them. The ELC is one of them, they're so hard to catch.

Do I need to post the video to Smugmug to share it?

Great fun last night. I ended up a bit under 50% win rate, but I didn't lose any cash so it all worked out nicely.

I hate people who TK that think they know the game better than others. Almost wish I could send a virtual bitchslap. I have a few people on my ignore list, but it's mostly the guys that die early and bark orders from their burning tanks.

I got one shotted in my T28 last night by another T28, that's never happened before. I'm still in disbelief.

Just a reminder to those who are up and coming - the T29 American tank is everything about the traditional American lines (both for heavies, and the pershing/pattons, as well as the T110E4) that you need to know.

Master the T29 by understanding its strengths and weaknesses, then just keep applying it.

Now I have far more battles in my T34 premium, and play it very often, so it's my reference vs. the T29 anymore, but it's all the same. I find I'm doing well with the tier ten T110E5 and T110E4 due to copying the places and stances I like to fight from with the T34.

----

And that goes into another realm of what to do vs. what not to do (I'm talking about the "keep doing what you were doing if it's working" concept).

As long as you're playing mediums well (i.e. non-expendable; staying alive and planning side/rear attacks once the heavy tanks of your tier, or higher, are engaged), IMHO do NOT change that style once in tier 9's and tier 10 mediums just because you believe the tank more valuable, etc.

I've seen too many people start playing tier 9 mediums poorly by not playing them the same way they played their tier 8 mediums. It's as if all of a sudden they consider their new tier 9 or 10 medium a heavy tank just because it has a few more HP and costs so much more to fix.

So, yeah, don't do that.

It does become far more important to try to not fight when running a medium, and to try to light up enemies for your arty to do its magic, but if push comes to shove and the friendly heavies need you... they don't need you to act as a heavy.

Just a few insights for the new guys. Somehow that all started with me having two satisfying games in my T110E4 just now (even though one of them was a loss), and from the experiences I had last night with the T110E5 in Clan Wars. Sorry about that - have a happy Easter!
