No electrical power Lc4 2004
Hi. Got myself an 640 supermoto, 2004 mod. I got the bike in parts (yepp). The bike look like its new ,but the wire harness are complete disconnected.
After looking for nearly a week now, i got some questions, and yes, i do have the wiring diagram, but cant seem to get some knowledge of out it.
1) The starter engine. Is there a ground wire connected to it? My diagram shows and "M" and wire nr 13, that is a ground wire. True or false?
2) What is needed for wires just to get some light in the dash? Engines wired, dash is wired also. Clutch switch and the small stuff not connected.
3) I have a brand new battery, belongs to my RS250 racer. Its a 12v 2,5amp. I bet this thing is to small for the LC4. Still, i would get some light in the dash?
Sorry for the stupid questions.. : )=

Starters typically ground through the engine and frame.
Wiring harness is complete just all the connections are undone? On my bike there are 2 two prong connectors back near the battery. It's easy to plug the wrong one in and get no power to the dash, but plugging the other one in wrong gives a dead short at the battery which could melt some wires.
Any 12 volt battery should be enough to light the dash up. The amp capacity of the battery really only needs to be considered when cranking the starter.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.
