Everyone have fun playing hooky tomorrow and be safe.

Over the last three days my vision has been sharpening back up a good bit. At this rate I might be willing to ride next weekend. Just the DL though. The WR needs an inspection and has a new brighter tail light on the way with an integrated flasher.

Decided on a set of hyperlites for the DL but Aerostich lists them as back ordered. The Skene P3s are awesome but I'm cheap and don't thing the price difference is worth it just to have the LEDs have the annoying flicker. Besides, when riding behind Eddy's they did get annoying. It is a great feature for getting noticed but I don't feel like a target on the DL. I just really want the additional brake lights and the flash when braking feature.

I didn't get off work but I was able to take a quick ride at lunch around the river ;) Man the girls are thick on bell's isle today!

------
It's April First and the day I start planning my TAT ride this summer. I will be heading out around the first week in July and have budgeted 2-3 weeks for this.

I am going to ride highway to Amarillo TX, then take the back roads from there. That is my old home range so I will be hitting many places I know about between Amarillo and Colorado. Then i'll hit many side roads in Colorado. I'd like to try the rode back into Crystal Colorado on the 1200gsa.. as well as the Black Bear Pass outside Telluride. There are many good roads up in the Suan Juan mountian ranges and several additional passes I am interested in. Hell, I may just get stuck there for a week, then off along the main route to the coast.

If anyone has time in July to go play... and would like to consider joining, now is the time to start planning...

Beautiful day outside!

So, what are you trying to say? Are they "full -figured" types, or simply the fact that the bikinis are finally in bloom?

I'm ok with that. That would be another WTE for me. In fact I walk over there 1 or 2 days most weeks anyway.

That was one hell of a ride, boys! Thanks for welcoming me into your group again. You guys feel like old friends already.

Here are a couple of pictures from before and after the meat of the riding today. It was by far the most excellent group ride I've ever done and I look forward to the next one! We definitely need to get a group camping up there on the mountain. No excuses!

April Will Fool Ya Hookie Rally

Yeah that was a lot of fun and exactly what I needed. That was one fluid group too. Here are some more pics:

Hopefully we will have a decent spring season this year and it won't jump into summer temps too quick. I really would like to get some camping in before it gets hot. Dan, thank you for letting us join you in welcoming spring and kicking winter goodbye. The irony of riding through snow and seeing sleet come down was a trip.

So we have pictures. Where did you end up going? We need more details. I'm living vicariously right now.
