    Congrats on the new bike!

How'd you choose an XR and have you been thinking about one for a while?

    Have fun, Mark H.

I have been thinking about an XRL for a while now.
Studied one pretty hard at last year's MC Show.
Decided on the air-cooled single as opposed to the KLR.
Wanted a bit more dirt-worthiness plus an ancient design was OK by me.
Can't wait to take it out and play with it.

The design is PROVEN....period. It just works. The suspension took everything I could dish out, including following Fast Eddie while pre-running the Baja a few years ago. It ain't the lightest, it ain't the fastest, but it would fire right up every morning w/o fail.

    You'll love that bike.
