Nice report LittleWan. Even your smaller rides are EPIC! I always learn something from your ride reports, and oftens it's something I can use in the future. Hope your break from ADV isn't TOO Long.

PS - Man you guys FLY on those big bikes offroad! Pure Awesome!

Nice job on the report Kelly. Reading it, it's like riding it all over again...but without the dust!

So here is my Huge Tiny Mistake that I almost made.

Matt and I were filming each other and I got a bit of air into a hole and my foot slipped off, dabbed and dragged. This was the same foot that I busted up in Mexico and just finished healing.
Here is the video link and some screen shots as I manage to get back on, just before going off the trail.

Close one bra!

Thanks again for the good times guys.
The V2R is a lot faster than I thought. Not that much technical stuff and mostly WFO. I'm considering trying the race this year on the 990.

Hey Radek,
So good to hear from you! Sorry I dropped the ball and didn't give you much of a heads up.

[Edit - Oh good, you were able to embed that video! ]

Wow, what a GREAT save! Whew!
Nice one!
And, Radek didn't show it in this clip, but he really hauled balls afterwards!

Matt and I were also surprised at the V2R course - as you mention, much faster and less technical than expected.
I think you would prefer some of the Nevada parts of the TAT (TransAmerica Trail).
More sandy single track/narrow double track through sage brush...
A couple loose rocky climbs...

Next time!

But, you should definitely do the V2R on your 990. You would kick some serious ass!
Just don't run a Mitas (the Flat Maker)

Thanks again for coming down from BC just to play...
(and for loaning us the rim. we'll be in touch about that...)

Thank you for the kind words!
But you learned something? Wait, really?
That's great, but I can't imagine what it could be in this RR...

I do know what you learned in the Baja Wan-Thousand ...
be extra careful in Baja if your name is Scott!

Thanks for all the sweet comments, everyone!
You guys are great.
Have fun and GO RIDE!

No, it can't be over. We got two in a row and now your just going to stop cold turkey. You've got to do some occasional day trips or something to let us down easy. You don't want your viewers to go into withdrawals.

Another great reports Kelly. Looks like everybody had a blast. Lots of great riding in Nevada, but I guess we need to bring a lot of extra fuel with us. That place has some serious wide open spaces.

Mike

Extra-ordinary stuff, Wans. The videos were very good-seeing 500+ lb bikes in the air and the whoops is well, pretty steenking cool. Thanks for taking the time to put this all together.

Washing bike

After washing my bike I noticed a few problems. Here is what I found today.

Crash bar had a scratch from a small rock.

Crash bar hit oil tank.

Looks like a sand blaster was used on center stand.

Got my fist flat spot on front rim. I guess my bike is broken in .Good thing it was only 500 miles LOL.

Wouldn't it be great to see the Wans ride the Desert 100 Adventure class?

Maybe next year we can talk them into it.

Thanks for the continued nice comments!
Glad you're still watching the videos!

Finally read this edition of "The Wan Report" . Thanks for more great RR Kelly ! You can always crack me up . Other than the deep sand , this ride looks a little more to my liking . That night video that you sped up was super good . Also the music (tuba) and Tijuana Sound Machine had me snickering . As a loyal fan , I will be waiting for the next installment . Thank you again !
