Orthopedist says the knee is OK...for an old guy.
Basically he told me to stop being a baby - others have it far worse.

So - foot will heal, knee will heal. I must not be riding hard enough!

If I can put a boot on my foot, I will join you guys for the Ephrata ride on Sunday!

CTom, if you are still sans-bike come Sunday - will you please drive up to Newark and ride one of mine?

Wayne, Jax, Goose and others, thanks for the footwear advice.
I can get those 661 Flight MX boots for 150. Think I should pull the plug?

$150 is a pretty good price for a $300 boot.

I've never heard of 661, but if they fit and are comfortable enough to wear all day, go for it.

Have you tried them on? If not, can you return them and get your money back or exchange for a different brand?

MC boots can very widely in fit depending on brand. Most brands I tried on are too narrow for my foot, that's one reason I ended up with Gaernes.

Hey Tom, I have one of those. You can wear it if you ever decide to beat-up the top half of your body.

First I saw of 661 was with bicycle stuff. Not sure if that's where they started or not?

Hey CTom hows it lookin for you to go to Laurel Fork? Just talked to Badcold and it sounds like he is a strong maybe.

Might have to hook up the hack to tote TomC over there

Well the nerve of some people!

Yeah Jack, I'm the same way. I've convinced myself that I need two bikes. One to wear out commuting and another to trailer to all of these fun events....trailering seems to be "all the rage" now.

Hack, it's looking sorta ok.

This bike thing has got me a little "bent outta shape" but otherwise,,,,,,, I'll take Fri. off and hopefully have things squared away with the wife/omnipotent one.

If Tiger's $3 part doesn't show up from merry ole England, then we just might have to load up in the the Shaggin' Wagon and head out. Seems like eatn' and drinkn' are some of the highlights anyway.
