Extra battery ?
Make it short I have to sleep with a CPAP machine.
For my next trip I want to be able to power my machine from a extra gel battery. I have a pigtale from the main battery for the quick disconnect charger. Can I plug in my second battrey while I'm riding to charge it up for the night or I need one of those special isolator switch for it?
Thanks in advance.

Ideally .. a special isolator.
Being practical and cheap - once the bike is running plug in the other battery and ride away. I assume that you will be running the bike for more than say 20 minutes when you do this and won't be running spotlights, hair dryer and fridge at the time ? Do remember to unplug it once you stop.

One of these DEKA sealed glass mat batteries will run my 12 volt CPAP machine for two 8 hour nights and still start my KLR on the last morning.
I would never likely stay more than one night somewhere, but I tested it for two while at home and had good results. The entire project pretty cheap. I do carry a tiny charger along in the event I would hit a camp site with electric. Basically a wall wart 12 volt adapter, about 800 milliamp with alligator clips. Low tech sometimes best.
Just trying to help, I know what a boat anchor the dang CPAP stuff is.
This stuff also helped get it done.

Lining up the Angus, I'm sure they won't thank us, feed a millions mouths, but not me - no way, I'd rather shoot a goose today flying down south.
