Hey Al Living along the river is nice...just hope your home is elevated a wee bit...and that you have good flood insurance...best of luck on that...miss riding up that way...down here most rivesr look more like creeks...not that safe to navigate either.

The Congregation was founded by Dutch Settlers in 1686. For the first ten years the congregation worshiped in various locations, and in 1696 the first building was built on the current site.

Thanks, Jerry! And I LOVED your video parody of the Hudson Valley TOR. I will refrain from commenting there for obvious reasons!

New tag will be up after I get the kids to school....

The New Tag!!!

Sorry for the delay. I actually got chased away from the originally planned tag by a guard who said the sign was on private property. So, had to find another.

Here's the New Tag:

A better photo from a geocaching site:

And the easy hint, since it's so nice out for a ride:

"The Historic Gibbons Horse Barn was built circa 1834, by William Gibbons. A wealthy Southern planter, and prominent racing patron, who built a stable to house his Thoroughbred Racehorses, including Fashion, “Queen of The American Turf”."

Brilliant!

Scrabbling around for tags in the toxic wasteland - it should be a signature.

Nice job, Walter, and good "Bruce" Jim!

Not a bad little area to ride in, huh? I was surprised to find horse farms right there, so close to civilization. Amazing what you can do with money!

Location for the list:
Gibbons Horse Barn
239 Morris CR 636 (Loantaka Way)
Chatham Township, nj
