My brother (trumposaurusrex) and I could put together a route down there. We know quite a few cool things to check out. It will be big bike friendly, and we could stop for some good eats. Sundays usually work best as it seems to be pretty relaxed down there. It would be passenger friendly too.

Could visit the previous photo tags, cement factories, hamtramck, train station, mexican town, indian village, slows? for food. There's a whole days worth to do.

That sounds great, I have only been stuck in Michigan for 4 years, my guess is you know the city better than I.
Plot something out and throw out a date, I am free on most Sundays.

Jon,
Sunday sounds like a good day.
When you figure out a date, place and time post it up.
That sounds like a interesting day ride.

Schedule is tight right now as the GLDS rides are starting, I'm working on a route right now. Looks like its going to be a sunday in May. Little later than I wanted to all get together for a hood ride, but at least we won't have to be bundled up! If anyone has any suggestions for places to stop, feel free to post em up!

That sounds great. Except I work weekends. Ugh. Any chance of a GPS track so I could go venture around myself?

A suggestion for a group ride destination: Belle Isle. The road around the island is nicely paved. (think Detroit Grand Prix)
Scenic pull offs to view the Motor City skyline. Nice picnic areas too...

I'm in for group ride through the hood, if the stars and planets align. Might bring the other half in the hack.

Let me know when.

I am also in for a group ride but i also want to play photo tag. Look what I did on my day off
Its farther away than the last pic. I did not want to explore the area by myself.

Looks like a great place to hand around unarmed by oneself

It isn't that you are farther away, you are on the wrong side of the building. My shot was taken facing north from the south side of that overwalk, yours is facing south.
