I need to get on the forum more often. Yeah, I ride a 950 Adventure. If you see a silver adventure on campus I can more or less guarantee it is me. Hopefully not doing anything stupid...

To fully answer your question, I also have a TW200 and do a mix of road rides and also some light trails on some property south of town. PM me if you are interested in a ride some time. I set that to send me emails so maybe I won't have year old messages I keep missing.

Although not AT Purdue (I live in Anderson), my daughter is a Math major in her sophomore year. I graduated from Purdue in 1982. Anyway, you say you ride south of town. I am trying to find a place the kids in the 80's went to climb rocks, play in the streams, etc. All I can remember is we took River Road South of Fort Ouiatenon. Don't remember if we crossed The Wabash or headed West. This place, I believe, was private property but very close to the road. I know this is a long shot, but would you have any idea what the heck I am talking about? Maybe you could ask around for me. When I ask my daughter, she just looks at me funny.

Not sure about that but south closer to the Crawfordsville area are Shades St. Park and Turkey Run St. Parks. If you go out west to Williamsport there is also a waterfall featured in a lot of the rides on here. Those are the only places I can think of to name that would be in that approximate area.

The riding is better here than where I lived last, nothing but agriculture, and no scenery, at least here there's some interesting roads around the rivers.

So turnabout is fair play. Is the rider of the BMW F650GS with the black windshield and hard-cases an ADVRider member? Anyone know? It is parked in the MC and 2 hour parking by LWSN pretty frequently. The bike looks like it sees some off-road. I am tempted to just leave a note one it one of these days to figure out who it is.

Bringing this back from beyond the grave... seems like suddenly there are a few people riding supermotos and DS bikes around Purdue now. Apparently there's a prof who has an Ural, and I regularly see another on a BMW GS. If anyone else is on here, I'm usually on either a 1986 Yamaha XT350 or a 1979 Suzuki GS750, and a buddy of mine rides a KTM 450EXC. We're always down for a ride or working on bikes or whatever. Anybody on here left at Purdue?

I am still in the area but ride a 450 xc-w now instead of the 950 I had in gradschool. I am working in the Purdue Research Park right now but my company is moving down-town in a few months.

The black KLR is Tim, one of my coworkers. Not sure if he is an inmate yet.
