William, help me out here!
Well you do need a lot of help. More than even I can provide. But even you should be able to handle Rusty.

So you are a bit WEST of me in Fairview Heights?

Agreed , went to school at SIUC. Had a lot of fun in Shawnee and the surrounding area.

West Is Correct

RRP13, you are correct, I'm west of you. We've even got routes where you could run gravel levees all day, Chester area.

Welp, it's official. The insurance is bought and I'm going to buy my Nighthawk 750 this weekend (first bike).

If the sun pokes out on Saturday the buddy I'm buying it from is going to pick me up and show me how to lube the chain, change the oil, and send me on my merry way in exchange for my cash. Otherwise we'll do it on Sunday. I'll have to get out onto the two-lanes and see who's in the fields and who's still wrenching on the tractor.

Nighthawk

What year is your Nighthawk? Back in the 80's a buddy of mine had that exact bike and I got to ride it, very cool.

02. As someone else on here said, it's the epitome of TGO - tires, gas, and oil. Very simple bike, not even a windscreen, but I rode it for 1k miles last year so I know it will haul my fat butt around reliably and start every time (with gratuitous use of choke, of course).

Sunday's Ride

No good deed goes unpunished. KWC roosts me when I wave him by to take a pic. I thought I was riding with Big Bore for a second. Have to look for a headlight guard for the Husky.

Been here before

Sorry Bill....

....I thought I was well off to the side when I punched it. Maybe it was the DRZ throwing rocks at your new bike not me? Maybe the DRZ is sad for being relegated to lowest displacement bike in our little group and condemned to be on "hind tit" forever

Then how do you explain the maniacal laughter I heard over the powerful exhaust note of your DRZ, my ear plugs and helmet? I think you have ridden with Big Bore way too much. Maybe one ride with Big Bore is too much?
