I didn't see that listed as an option under consideration so I was avoiding the dread internet scope creep.

Now that it's on the table, I think the DR400 is the better bike off road and the DR350 is better on road. I don't own either one so take that opinion FWIW. There's lots of good bikes out there... just depends on whatcha wanna pay and how yer gonna use 'em.

Need to find time to bail on Anderson to grab lunch at RG.
Heading up to Moon in a bit. Why am I up so early on a krappy Saturday? DR350s are a great bike and with a larger tank and betterer seat do not suck at all on the highway. Just don't plan to run a Minnesota 1000 on one, although I might. And there will be stories.

You are clearly bored with your DR350 and you should sell it to me. I will bring cash and pick it up at Moon today. No need to thank me, it is my pleasure.

Maybe it is a whole nother thread, but I have always wondered why someone would pursue an older DR350 vs a newer DRZ400. I have ridden a 400 off road, on single track and while it was heavy and a little sluggish, it was still plenty fun. The one that I rode had been resprung, but no other suspension work. I was pleasantly surprised.

A DRZ that had had the suspension done had been on my short list when the 640A turned up.

Another friend of mine loves WRR 250s. He generally puts the YZF cams in and then rides the hell out of them. The new plating rules makes it very easy to plate a WRR. It actually would not surprise me if Larson Cycle sells WRR with all the street legal stuff and a plate.

Price not bad, but '94, no electric start.

$$s. But I would consider either one, depending on condition and cost. I want to take whatever little scramblerizing thing I get on one of Dirt Bike Techs courses.

Right. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker either, especially considering the price. I think I'll go and have a look next week anyway. The worst outcome is that I get this, and something I like better.

EDIT: No odometer either. I decided to pass on this one. Found a much nicer example in New Prague - 1999 SE with 5400 miles, and very clean, but he wants 2500 for it, which is a bit much.

I'll just keep looking. This is not an urgent requirement to fill.

Moon and Mucho Grande are on by the way. Weather is damp and drizzly, but not bad really. 2pm is still the goal at Rancho Grande.

I will try to get up to Moon Motorsports today. It's not too bad out there.

Looks like some rain is headed this way tonight though.

Yes it's not too bad. A bit drippy here and there, so I'll take the ugly bike. I don't want to dirtify the others just yet, that will happen soon enough.

Anyway that bike needs to be run too, or it'll get all pissy at me.
