Could someone who has installed the new Evo-2 tanks please post pics of where they have run the right hand side fuel line?

I have fitted the Evo-2 tanks, and am a bit concerned about how exposed the TwinAir foam filter is ...

You can clearly see it beneath the seat now ...

I am concerned about heavy rain, etc ...

Any thoughts ... ?

Hoots,
I have no other pics at the moment, but if you look at the one below you can see the fuel line: it goes from the main fuel tank, then outside the frame (inside is too close to the rear shock spring), and you should have there the fast fuel connector, i have used a zip tie to keep the fuel line close to the frame.
And then from there, just when it goes behind the right tank it splits, one line goes to the right tank and the other one crosses to the other side, passing through a hole in the back of the cylinder casing (this is adviced by the instructions), and to the left tank.

Hope it helps
Ciao
Gianluca

Problem with EVO2 UPGRADE fairing kit

I have upgraded my tanks & fairing kit to EVO2. I am still using the old EVO1 adventure headlight (from KTM 950) and the rally screen. I am having problem with the upgraded fairing falling an inch or may be less shorter and as such I am not able to align the fairing to bolt to the top and bottom end of the tank. Some pics below. Sorry for the quality but i will try to post better ones.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this ?

Loosen all the bolts some and see if you can get a better fit.

The black fairing sides are for some reason not fitting on anybody's bikes. It seems that they trimmed it too short. I've an EVO 2 and even there the fit is attrocious. Neither will it fit the same way on the 2 sides. The white versions have a much better fit.

I used foam tape to hide the huge gaps.

EVO2 headlight bulbs

I am about to leave for a 3 weeks trip and I would like to carry some spare bulbs, just in case.
Has anyone already checked what type of bulbs are in it?
that would be very helpful, instead of having to dismantle again the fairing!

Thank you!

I happen to own both bikes. The 690, new in 2009, goes everywhere I point it flawlessly except for the really rough stuff or four foot rollers in Baja...but that more my fault than the bike. With the Rally raid tanks installed she is a heavy one on the front with full tanks. how those blokes rode her in the Dakar is a mystery to me. After riding a section of the Baja course out of catavena in March I decided the 690 was not the bike for me on this type of ride so I bought a new in the box '08 450 EXC. ( the price was too good not to pass on the carb model). The only tracking issue was easily solved by setting up the suspension correctly to handle off road race speeds instead of a more motocross type suspension setup that comes with the bike out of the box. Now I have both. Now, can someone just ride my other bike until I decide the trail is best for the 690 ..or the 450? Decisions, decisions, decisions. Next Rally set up on that one too, but now 100 pounds lighter.

We have just recieved delivery of our new EVO 2 Adventure Graphics to fit the new Adventure Fairing Kit.These look great and compliment the original plastics, and we will be producing these in orange/black for the older 690 R & E's,and orange/white for the newer 690's.
They are more subtle than the Rallye Graphics, and fit well with the styling of the older & new KTM 690's.
Thanks to Jim,Karon & the boys at Zero-Nine Graphics for the slick design.
