Any chance I can get some directions to this little piece of heaven?

Who has experience on some of the non-paved roads/trails around Great Smokey Mountain NP? I'm familiar with Parson's Branch, but I'd like a little more info on some of the other stuff. Stuff you can't find in an atlas or on the Googles.

It's behind Martins on Forest Hill in Richmond...pull into the parking lot & head to the left back corner and there is a dirt road you take back across the Railroad Tracks an you are there...

Hey, I just stumbled onto this location here in ADVRider. I live in Norfolk and am interested in joining some of you on day/weekend trips. I'm in the Marine Reserves and have duty next week so I'll miss the lunch on 22nd Street. Keep me posted on future endeavors!

Later! Buck

Welcome. I like the ownership combo of the GS and WR.

It looks like a really good time to me, look at it in Bird's Eye on Bing. Lots and lots and lots of trails back there. http://binged.it/11KxdRc

I'd say it's worth doing at least once!

Sweet. Let's see what the weather does Thurs/Fri. He said it had rained the day before those vids were taken.

Edit: He said it rained an inch 2 days before. Lots of dry spots though.

What do you tell people (nonriders) when they ask you what kind of bike you ride? I always freeze and just tell them "KLR" or v-strom as if they know what the heck that is. Sometimes I feel the only thing the general public knows about motorcycles is the word "Harley" or "crotch rocket" lol
Also, how dangerous they are as my mom likes to remind me
