Long day, 535 miles in 8:10 so we'd have a short day tomorrow. The weather has really cooperated for the past three weeks. One day of cold rain but the rest has been sunny. Cold at times, but the sun has been out. It was kinda weird at Death Valley. The campground would be 75 (3,500 feet ASL) and on the Valley floor (294 feet BSL) it was 105. Great trip, forgot a couple of things that I really could have used and brought a bunch of crap that never left the bag. After all these years, I should know better. The coldest day was the day we left - 28 and snowing; the worst was the third day - it never got out of the 40s and it rained all day.

I'm already planning the next long trip!

5,592 miles so far. I'd originally figured just under 6K for the trip and we will easily go over that. Today was fun, rode about 200 miles to meet GSA and then we rode another 180 or so, some twisties - including "Frog Level Road" - to get to the hotel.

I'll tell you what...
The atmosphere (almost nekked coeds) in these first few days of really warm weather is unbearable.
