You guys mind a noob joining in?

The starting point is 95 miles from me....might have to work on that a bit 'cause I'm not a 5am person
If you're willing to throw your 990 on the ground I think you'll fit in fine.

You will quickly become a 3 a.m. person around here. It's a survival response in the summer.

Hey. Any of you guys going have VHF handheld radios?
I'm planning on putting a VHF mobile radio in my truck and thought if anyone that is riding has a handheld it would be nice for communication if needed.

Regrettably, I'm out for this one. Wife out of town and not enough room for the kids on the bike.

I rode in Andy McMillan's Raptor after a break down in Mexico and was way impressed as he railed through whoops that were killing me on the bike. Awesome trucks!

Thanks for the info on Brown's Crossing! I would like to get into that section to the west of the crossing again.

I just booked a room at the Rodeway Inn (335 London Bridge Rd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403) for $76 with an AMA discount code. The Super 8 next door is cheaper but had some reviews that made it sound questionable.

Late afternoon / Night run

Anyone up for joining me in a late afternoon and night ride to meet up with the group?

I am thinking I can be on the bike around 5pm and ride out to meet the guys. Ride home Sunday with the group.

Ikes Cookshack opens at 7am Tuesday thru Sunday. (Two buildings East of McD's, his sign is camouflaged, you can't miss it) I'll check with him just to be certain he's going to be open on the 20th and get back to ya... Sometimes he is just "Gone" for a few days!

If I was not going to be at Alamo fish'n that week I would meet you boys for Hot Cakes. It's just down the road from my Casa.

Yes, as mentioned earlier Brown's Crossing is very High-n-Dry. Your going to have a very dusty ride as it is dryer than a popcorn-fart out there...

Will you be putting out a map or GPS for the route you'd like to take?

I have GPS tracks for a couple different routes out and back. I'll work on putting them all together in the next couple of days. I don't really have a good place to host them, but I can e-mail them to anyone who wants them.
