Eve of 1190 - 990 Baja Pricing

Going to my local dealer to check out a '13 Baja they have in stock...

was quoted 14,899 plus 450 delivery and 400 setup.

Im sure the numbers will come down when they see me in person but whats a "deal"?

Thanks fellas.

Just paid $14,600 otd might have done better but I think it was a good deal. Taxes not included in that otd price. Bought in another state

Hard to say - I got a brand new white 2011 OTD for around 12.5 in CA, from a dealer, in an area of high sales tax. It took me several phone calls and an onsite visit with a verified similarly priced bike in another part of the state....

It seems as the dealer in your situation is in no hurry to sell what could likely be the only (or last) Baja they will get. Especially considering there are plenty of folks not looking for an 1190. ...Or, similary, really want a 990 platform in order to circumvent the wait, teething pains, and aftermarket development tied to the new model.

The important thing here from my perspective is your level of remorse for not acting quickly enough. All of a sudden you notice someone has bought it when you stop by to check it out again one last time before you decide.

I am very glad I got mine before it went away to someone else. I personally have no interest in the 1190.

Unfortunately in this case, it is a seller's market.

Thanks!
Cris

2012 990R OTD $12,700. Glad I found this one as the 1190 is not anything close to a duel sport adv bike except by name only. When all the 990 bikes are gone and the 1190 is the only bike from KTM Than I will just get a GSA.

Interested in a fly and ride?

I know my local KTM dealer in Santa Monica, California has one new 990 Baja on the showroom and two in crates in the back... And they are looking to move them. It's listed as Santa Monica Honda Kawasaki and ask for Tom, the sales manager. Tom sold me my '04 950 S new off the showroom after it sat for months without anyone even inquiring about it. Of course nobody even knew what the LC8 Adventure was back then... except me. Ha.

Weather is great out west for a nice long ride home.

I have been lusting after a 990 for a long time. No interest in the 1190. Just paid $14978 OTD in Milwaukee. Maybe not the best price but now I got mine. Now to change my log on name
