This might have been a bit of a joke..... I sold two of the KTM's and own only one now. I am not at expert on any motorcycles let alone KTM's. I just ask stupid questions and wait for the experts to learn the answers.

How much detail did you want on that 690/950 SE comparison?

Routes are hosted and posted! Check the first post and download the zipped GPX file.

Doesn't anyone use Mapsource or Basecamp anymore?

It is split up so that there is a Day 1, Day 1 Alternate, Day 2, Day 2 Alternate, etc... They are also color coded if you use Mapsource/Basecamp.

keeping up

Hey Drew:
I remember the RR when you picked up the big bore adv but didn't know about the other KTMS ---- you still have the 650 TA-DON"T YOU ---answer YES or you & me are going to talk, , Man don't ever even think about selling that one.
I was at Al Jesse's deal last weekend and saw the Cagiva "Lucky Explorer"THE REAL DAKAR bike( forerunner of the Ducati/Cagiva Elefant) and that is the ONLY bike that I've seen that is more beautiful than the 650 TA & ATS.
But then again I'm kinda partial to a "Guzzie Quatro" too, all works of art & more than just a motorbike.

Bikes

I currently have three bikes. The KTM 950 Adv, Honda Africa twin 750 and Honda CRF250X I have sold everything else after trading around alot and just trying different bikes. The Transalp I had was a beautiful bike and was only going to end up not so beautiful in my hands.... always looking for something fun though.

I use them, but then again I don't know how to use them very good.....
Wish I had my bike ready for this, it looks like a lot of fun. Maybe next year when it comes up again.

If I was not going to be at Alamo fish'n that week I would meet you boys for Hot Cakes. It's just down the road from my Casa.

Yes, as mentioned earlier Brown's Crossing is very High-n-Dry. Your going to have a very dusty ride as it is dryer than a popcorn-fart out there...
Ike's cook shack will be open on the 20th @7am. He mentioned that he will have his "Hottie Waiter" on staff that day for you boys...

I'll be fishing at Alamo and be watching for your dust going over the ridge! Have a great trip...

I was not able to open the zip file. It was corrupted for my computer I guess.
I need a straight GPX file or mapsource file although don't think it really matters since I'm going to be following and I can put the route on a map.

My son Bret is coming along with me also. I wanted to find out about a KSU time since we are driving down from Payson, we might be shooting for 7:30 8:00 arrival or we might come and stay the night down there on Friday night. Havn't decided quiet yet.

Looking forward to this.

I don't know Havasu very well, so I don't know if there's a really great breakfast place there. There is a really good italian restaurant right across from the Rodeway Inn for dinner!

Im Out

Hey All,

I am officially out . I discovered The SE is not ready to ride Off-road , and needs complete suspension re-work before attempting anything more than a few hours on it.

Have a Great and safe ride, wish I could join you.

You seemed to do okay Sunday. There are probably enough of us with spare springs around that we could get you close enough for now. I think I have a .52 front spring and with one of the .70's you might be in the ballpark. Or is there more going on?
