What.. No Crabs?

Im heading up the gulf coast from tampa and was wanting some roadside stand seafood as I "stay, merge left" most of the gulf until biloxi.
But I see crab is shipped in frozen? Really? I though blue crab was in the gulf.

Maybe try this place, I have eaten there but never tried the soft shell crab. They have tanks full of live ones outside.

Sweet.
Iv got a massive list a places to eat from TripAdvisor along the panhandle.. but I'm tempted to drive up the east coast to, say, Palm Coast. Then shoot west through Gainsville and to the forgotten coast 98 19 27.

Really good seafood place in Perry ,Deals oyster house, on the main road, parking lot is always full and made of discarded oyster shells.

Best seafood I've had in Florida, fresh and local. Real nice staff too, a taste of the old south you don't see much in Florida these days.

Angelos or Tropical Trader, both located by the bridge in Panacea Fl.
They have the "Ultimate Soft Shell Crab Sandwich". Locally caught and cooked.

My week long vacation was cut short as soon as I flew into melbourne. My basement flooded and I was back home in two days. So no crabs for me.
