Bike shops in Pearland/Houston area

Hey all. Going to be in Pearland for training the week of May 18-25. Unfortunately I am flying in and in a rental cage, but am looking for bike shops to browse after work and on Sun the 19. Any good ones around?

Thanks

As well as a well stocked BMW/Triumph dealership Gulf Coast used to have a good selection of used bikes and a number of vintage British motorcycles on display.

Cant think of any shops in Pearland - other than Stubbs the big Harley dealer for the area. Although they have 4 shops so the have a few brands at other locations too.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you ride a dual sport bike (seeing how you ask on ADV).

If you have time go see Tommy owner of:
Houston Motorcycle Exchange
North of Down Town -
South Texas' leader in used motorcycles, dirt bikes & atv's
Shop: 713-867-7733
In Houston: 1326 N Durham, Houston, Tx. 77008
http://www.HoustonMotorcycleExchange.com

He has also raced and ridden off-road for some 40 years, he was president of the local motorcycle club "Trail Riders of Houston" for a few years.
They have a pretty good group of D/S riders in it. He's a good guy and will make time for customers even if they just visit for small talk.

Also if still needing to kill time, you may want to visit:
West of down town -
WILD WEST HONDA
22515 KATY FWY
KATY, TX 77450
281-392-8850
http://www.wildwesthonda.com/
Honda, Kaw, KTM, BMW most employees there all ride and are nice folks to visit.

There are also a couple of salvage yards there that can be fun to visit:
I like the dude that runs "Lands Cycle Salvage" on the east side of town:
Lands Cycles 204 Bayou Dr. Channelview TX.77530
http://landscycle.com/
He is a nice guy - damn place is over run with cats though
But there is always some cooky stuff to look at in the yard.
Good place to spend an hour or 2. BTW if you find something you need, he can ups it to your house

Just get out the Houston yellow pages and throw a dart at it - Houston is a big place and lots of things to see.

Thanks for the info

Hey guys. Thanks for all the info. I will certainly try to join up with you Rydah. Yes I ride a dual sport--an 88 KLR that is in a constant state of farkling. I am looking forward to seeing the area as while I have been to a few different states, have never been to Texas yet and always wanted to visit. Thanks again and if you are riding a ADV bike and see some fool in a rental cage waving at you the week of May 18-25 it is probably me.
