Back then is was a great opportunity for a BMW photo shoot. Now it lives as the Killboy fail photo corner.

Rode my '78 R100S to So Cal back in the spring of '88. Spent a couple of days riding the Malibu canyons.

Nirvana for a kid from Ontario.

I added this pic to my growing hoard of R100's with 'S' style fairings installed - I'm very happy to see that in this case it actually is an R100S. With a strengthened frame, beefier transmission and what have you, this is starting to look like what I might go for - maybe in a nice solid black - mind you that smoked red is quite striking.
