What magnificent scenery! This country has just about every color and shape you can imagine and it's so accessible too. Here in Australia almost all the country is fenced off as, with the exception of the arid inland or the "outback" as we call it, it is private land. We do have many National Parks and State Forests but many restrict motorcycles from entry.
Thanks for the post, I have enjoyed the ride.

well done

Yellow Pig, sounds like you could lead a group ride of a dozen & do an over night somewhere out there.

Your pix were very good & the accompany post kept me in the saddle too.

Very nice Piggy!

Purty colors with jagged rocks on the twin monster = a great adventure in my book.

GO GO!

Fall in Colorado is as good as it gets. Until Summer when it all begins again. Cannot imagine what it must feel like to not be able to ride as winter plows on. All the great roads and no way to ride them. Damn.

Sure, there are some sky high journeys in Colorado that must await the late summer months, and riding near the ski resorts can be tricky in the dead of winter, but for the most part, one can pour on the scenic wintertime miles astride something with two wheels. I average 6,000 miles from Oct - Mar living in high altitude Park County at 8800ft. Temps won't stop me, but I do have to occasionally wait for that amazing Colorado sun to do its melting thing with roads.

Along the driveway...

A routine January ride through South Park to Hoosier Pass. Temps in the 20's, dry roads. But there would be better days for ascending/descending nearby Mosquito Pass. I think I have an older rid vid starting from the image below...

Sold the Super Enduro and picked up a 690. I plan on doing the same loop this year on the smaller bike, should be much easier and just as much fun. i'm hoping the smaller mass makes rides like this less of a work out.

The new toy:

If you're anywhere near Salida Colorado this summer let me know, at my cabin up there, next to it is a national forest with trails, and man is it beautiful! The only downside is that it's not maintained so when tree's fall down I have to cut them up to open a path.
